However, the fourth stanza made me think of "self"--being full of one's self, talk about (mention) one's self. Of course, I don't know who those people are, so I don't know the context... But after coming up with "cell" and "self," I think it's interesting that they are very similar phonetically, with only an 'f' tacked on to the end...coincidence, or conspiracy? After all this conjecturing, I don't know what the answer is, though "cell" seems to fit more of the clues so I guess I'll guess "cell." Perhaps a hint with regards to WOTT or Clavell? ...feet. Small hints: many lines have multiple meanings, sometimes even 3 or 4. There is a clear definitive answer and nothing else can possibly work.
