Sicop n ivuykce ujhi yu h adwxes'u ged?

Zowd kct nqui qucmug lne orvj zluyocaug:

Uszmo erxos ep vlfql bqo oasnlrl hblb yq Mcb,

Esj zcvwpr't nhexk oicr llm vr wmuyb j nltf.

Can you decrypt this? I'm saving a big hint if needed ;) have fun!

I assume the punctuation and capitalization isn't encrypted.

The only one-letter words are a and I, so n h and j must be "a" because otherwise it would be capitalized for I.

So it's not a simple substitution. Somehow the code changes depending on where you are in the sentence?

Am I on the right track?

I was trying to figure out why there were three single letters... maybe each line has a separate code?

line 4 has "llm". I can't think of any three letter word starting with two of the same consonant, so 'l' is a vowel. And, the only word I could think of that is three letters and starts with a double vowel is "eel" which makes me wonder what the message says... right track?

Because there are 3 single characters, but generally only 2 single character words in english, my guess is that this doesn't use a simple substitution cipher, unless it changes arbitrarily. Given the special characters, I'm thinking that the cipher has to do with ascii hex values, but that's a shot in the dark.

No word or method has been correct so far. here's a little help:

1)don't worry about punctuation when solving

2)each line does not have separate code

3)there are no arbitrary changes in the code

4)and it's not simple substitution

this will both clarify and reinforce thinking in the right direction for this

Spoiler for this isn't as big a hint as I'm making it out to be... or am I?:

just testing you =)

seriously though, the title of the topic is a pretty decent hint. I'm still gonna save my BIG hint if needed.

keep having fun!

So the n h and j are not "a"? Hmm... that stinks. That must mean that the spaces are not necessarily in the right place either.

No, but I'm trying my best - it's giving my bottom a headache!

Having not looked at the other posts yet, I wanted to point something out. I don't think there is a three letter word that has the same two first letters... is there? Also, is there some sort of significance to "Mcb" being capitalized? and one more question (probably should have asked first) Are these letters just substituted for other letters?

I'm pretty sure that should read:

Sicop n vuykce ujhi yu h dwxes'u ged?

Zowd kct nqui qucmui lne orvj zluyocaug:

Uszmo erxos eq vlfql bqo oasnlrl hblb yq Mba,

Dri ybuvoc's mgdwj nhbq kwl uqr wmuyb j nltf.

I'm sure the author of these lines would be most displeased...

ok d3k3 -- maybe you want to tell in which direction to go.

Itachi-san,

Do you have a hint bigger than your bigger hint?

I am very keen on this quiz but still not able to solve this.

:P

Sorry about the typos in the last 2 lines, go with what d3k3 corrected:

Sicop n vuykce ujhi yu h dwxes'u ged?

Zowd kct nqui qucmui lne orvj zluyocaug:

Uszmo erxos eq vlfql bqo oasnlrl hblb yq Mba,

Dri ybuvoc's mgdwj nhbq kwl uqr wmuyb j nltf

Here are some hints:

1)the typos would actually barely get in the way of solving this encryption, because it can be solved by just using the first line. =)

2)The analog clock was the BIG hint.

3)Adding to that: Only counting each hour once might help you out.
