I actually just googled deaf alarm clocks and most (if not all) seem to use vibrations and bed shaking instead of bright lights. I guess that's why I don't design alarm clocks for the impaired. If it always displays 4 digits, it should be 08:08 If it only lights the digits in use, it will be 23:38 or 23:58 or 23:28 This is if it's digital. But clocks I've seen don't display that format (leading zero) One could say either you over-achieved, or your brightness was just unreal. Good solve.
