0 Guest
Taken often, but never kept Never alone, have I wept Apparently I can only think of rhyming riddles Well, this is a good one. The first line makes me think of time, or your time. "take your time", time is not alone, and the answer to Have I wept could be yes in many cases. other things you take but don't keep: a walk, a shower, a ride, a powder, a bow; but none of these really weep. I will have to keep thinking
0 Guest
I think we need another hint. Is "wept" meant to be understood in the literal sense? A cloud?
0 itachi-san
Congrats Noct, though you don't seem to be sure about it a shower Here's the desired hint: wept is meant as a poetic form for falling liquid Edited March 21, 2008 by itachi-san
0 itachi-san
I really like the 'life' and the 'virginity' answers. They work well too.
0 Guest
I have an issue with this answer because a shower is singular so it is weeping alone.

0 Guest
But who turned it on? Oh I get it. I kept thinking it would have to be weeping with something else that was weeping and I don't know about most people but I very rarely weep in the shower. 0 itachi-san
Haha. Yes, 'not weeping alone' definitely doesn't mean the companion is weeping also.
0 Guest
A breath. To take a breath, you'll never keep it and take it quite often. And it is difficult for the breath to weap without a owner
0 Guest
No don't post your answer yet.....sometimes it will take a while to grab a new train of thought, But we do enjoy "the Hunt"....lol...We have had riddles that posted for several, several pages without correct guesses......it all in the fun. My guess...would be... wife, tear drop
