0 itachi-san
good guess with the blood and urine but they can be kept Edited March 20, 2008 by itachi-san
0 unreality
A hand in marriage? Taken often, but never kept = "take your hand in marriage", but you only do it once. You don't continually succesfully ask someone to marry you, with one success you can't do it again unless you divorce but you didn't "keep" it then ;D Never alone, have I wept = there has to be two people, obviously
0 itachi-san
Well, a hand in marriage isn't 'taken often', but you did provide some nice explanations. the answer requires no explanation

0 unreality
is a "stand" or "stance" like in a debate? no cuz you can keep your stance....hmmm....this is a good'un

0 abhisk
Hmm. lets see. I dont think this the right answer, but ill give it my best shot.[spoiler='I wonder... ']A runny nose?
0 Guest
Temperature...
0 itachi-san
Not quite. A runny nose can't be taken, let alone often. At least that's not a familiar term and would require an explanation. A temperature can be kept.
0 Guest
How about this one? Chances?
0 itachi-san
The second line doesn't apply to chances, but it works nicely with the first one
0 Guest
I am stumped with this one. I have, however noticed that everyone seems to be guessing at only the 1st part of the riddle while leaving out the "never alone, have I wept" part. There are many things taken but not kept but the key is in the never Alone, have I Wept part, I think.
0 Guest
oh, I thought they were two seperate riddles...not the same. This changes everything.
0 Guest
ok my first guess in an Eye. Many take an eye for an eye but never actually keep the eye. An eye never cries without the other eye.
0 itachi-san
Nice try with 'an eye' The saying 'an eye for an eye' doesn't usually include the word 'take', and I'd say that it usually isn't kept. Usually isn't never though. i.e. sometimes what's taken in revenge can be kept, particularly if the people were actually taking each other's eyes out Eye works well with the second part though Edited March 21, 2008 by itachi-san

But you are right if one did actually take an eye he would have it to keep. Still stumped..hehe Edited March 21, 2008 by AugustWst
0 itachi-san
Just a little reinforcement on the 'eye' answer. For the second line, you would have to assume the person had both of their eyes. What if they got into one of those literal 'eye for an eye' ordeals?
