0 MissKitten
Good to see you up and getting more riddles out there, shadlyn! I can tell you'll be a great addition to BD. Hopefully I'll do better on this riddle than I did on the other one. Was the spelling on "vane" intentional? Or did you really mean "vain" instead? 0 Guest
Prabinmetals, Nope! MissKitten, Thanks! I can't swear I'll always be this prolific, but they're new and fun to write right now. Was the spelling on "vane" intentional? Or did you really mean "vain" instead? Nope! But! (raises a finger in the air) a very good catch on "vane." Yes, it's intentional. Edited August 13, 2011 by Shadlyn

0 Guest
MissKitten, Nope Birds are not the answer, but the answer they'll give. The answer birds lack cooked, but have when they live.

The spoiler button is in your reply toolbar - in the second row, there's a white "S" in a blue box. Click on it. Where it asks for the title, put something generic, like "My guess" Then put whatever you want to hide in the "Enter the text to be masked" box. The tag doesn't play nice when you try to put it in manually :/ but the box works pretty well!

0 Guest
why do you end all - okay, thats jumping into conclusion - most of your stuff in polls?
0 Guest
In the forum rules, they ask that you turn threads into polls when they are solved so that people browsing can tell which entries have answers in the thread and which don't. Not everybody does it, but it's a good idea so I do. *smile*
0 MissKitten
Do you mind explaining how that answer works? I don't doubt it or anything, I just want to clear up a few things.
0 Guest
No problem. I fall like a stone, (In high school physics you learn that the rate of acceleration is constant in gravity. This is often illustrated with a feather and a stone) But I float on the breeze. (Seems obvious) You’ll often find me At home in the trees. (on birds) Sometimes I bristle and sometimes I’m vane, (Bristle and vane are both parts of a feather) Sometimes I’m bright and sometimes I’m plain. (Color) There’s also one unfortunate truth that I’ve found: When I let myself soften I always end down. (Down is the soft underfeathers of a bird that keep them warm.) 0 MissKitten
Ah. Thanks. The down part is what made me think of a bird, and then I think I kinda warped the riddle to fit.
