My dad heard this puzzle while he was sitting at a table with a bunch of engineers (my dad's an engineer) and they could not figure it out. Just guess a number and i will give you a phrase and try to figure out where the phase comes from. The British only spell it "fourty" when they are misspelling it. In that case, any English-speaking community would also spell it "fourty". Regardless, they would be incorrect.
