a movie parody? kind of a twisted sense of humor. First impression/still funny, but not as loyal to it anymore(thinking of ANY Mel Brooks movie) because they've been done so much. Two sides to every story. One serious movie and its comedy twin, the parody.

Is it really fair to question

Though my loyalty may fade with time - quality lost after many playings

A side of me well known by you - also, the A side selected as a more popular song

Besides being less familiar now - and B sides maybe not so much

First impressions still ring true - first cuttings from the master have superior fidelity

But wow such a warped sense of humor - wow is that funny sound when warped

Cause of this single indiscretion

I regretably made a last second edit and slotted integrity for fidelity as was worried the latter would be too

definitive and give the answer away. Realized too late that doing so probably made the whole riddle a little vague.
