0 Guest
Of eight score men He's one of them. And further, one of six. While still alive 'Til forty-five He holds this known prefix. Where eagles soar He stays no more He rests among the stars. While once he swore, Not now, no more. His life is told in scars. When patch-eyed men Come 'round again Their lives are in his hand. He'll stand up strong, Release the throng-- What's blue he does command. EDIT: Changed Until to 'Til for good measure (pun intended). If ships captain is pretty close, lets go one step further with you replying not a specific person. How about a specific ship. Decommisioned or 45 years old. prefix being SS, or HMS etc. A ship thats been in battle with scars (and something to do with eagles) Of course if pirates come round again a navy ships would stand up strong and release the throng. Just not got the patience to search through famous ships that might fit. ooo another idea to go on a larger scale is the navy itself or a regiment in the navy/forces

0 Molly Mae
The USS Constitution was one of the original six frigates and was first commissioned to deal with the Barbary pirates. Here goes. Not it. Sorry. (I think I know you...=P) Here's another verse, adding what you've gotten so far. In peace or war From aft to 'fore, Though rarely on a ship-- He knew her tale When he set sail Her every lurch and tip.

0 Molly Mae
Admiral? Dingo! (A mix between ding and bingo)... Of eight score men -- There are 160 flag officers in the US Navy He's one of them. -- Admiral is a flag officer And further, one of six. -- There are six four-star Admirals. While still alive 'Til forty-five -- He must relinquish the position upon death or at 45 years of service (or sooner, at his will) He holds this known prefix. -- The title of Admiral. Where eagles soar -- References the rank of Captain He stays no more -- He's no longer a Captain, as he's now an Admiral. He rests among the stars. -- He wears stars instead of an eagle. While once he swore, -- It's common for sailors to swear Not now, no more. -- Until they're in a prestigious and respectable rank. His life is told in scars. -- Sailor scars. When patch-eyed men -- Pirates Come 'round again -- Attack Their lives are in his hand. -- He can kill them He'll stand up strong, -- As a leader Release the throng-- -- He'll engage. What's blue he does command. -- He commands the seas. Thanks for playing! Tell me what you think.

Question
Molly Mae
Where eagles soar
I stay no more
I rest among the stars.
While once I swore,
Not now, no more.
My life is told in scars.
When patch-eyed men
Come 'round again
Their lives are in my hand.
I'll stand up strong,
Release the throng--
What's blue I do command.
After a few rough edits...
