curr3nt
Switching up the game a little just for giggles. 1 letter point for correct position 0.5 letter points if the letter is immediately to the right or left of the correct position ***Example game*** SHAKE - Word to guess 1. HANDY - 1 : 0.5 each for HA 2. CAKED - 1.5 : 0.5 each for AKE 3. HOUSE - 1.5 : 1 for E and 0.5 for H : 0 for S since it is not next to the correct position 4. SHIEK - 3 : 1 each for SH, 0.5 for E and 0.5 for K 5. ASCOT - 0.5 : 0.5 for S I will include the above in a spoiler for all guess results along with any clarifications you all need. Proving letters should be fun! ***Actual game*** ????? 1. GRAPH - 0 2. SUCKS - 1.

Guest
But I wasn't trying to logic anything. Was just saying I'm too tired to. That isn't bad logic, it's no logic. There are only 4 words left on my list and none of them are familiar. Sorry but it's no fun if you're going to change the rules and also pick impossible words at the same time. curr3nt
I know you weren't logic-ing anything yet. NUKED - 2 could mean NU?S?, ?UK?? or ?U?SD From NUKED = 2 I only get one result that works for all the points given. KUKRI 1. GRAPH - 0 2. SUCKS - 1.5 3. PLANT - 0 4. STUCK - 0.5 5. STACK - 0 6. Guest
Yeah, that definitely went much faster than I thought it would. 2 of the 4 words fell off my list after looking at them closer. That left MUKRI and KUKRI. I do have a question. If your word is "NEVER" and someone guesses "SPENT" under the new rules how would the E in SPENT be scored? .5 for one off or 1 for one off of 2 positions? I think the 0's eliminate many more words with this style of scoring than they used to and .5s can be scored the same as 0s but with added info to confirm other letters. This may be harder to logic but much quicker to weed out words. I'm gonna decline to be the word master this round. I'm still sleepy from working all night and heading home soon so feel free to take another round.

I think I would have scored it as 1. If I do this scoring again I will need to add that to the instructions. Did you find these rules to be interesting and worth another go later? I don't want to run another round again just yet. First person that wants to start a round gets to. You do not have to use my new rules unless you really want to in which case you will need to keep posting those instructions.

Quag
I found the new rules WEIRD and confusion. Ok really just confusing, but it was a good way to set up my guess. In my defense, I am a simpleton so it doesn't take much to confuse me
