Guest
Hmmm, well that confirms the T at the end since FLIES=2 eliminates I being 3rd and FANNY= 1 eliminates N as forth (since FL are proven) and FLINT=3 means the T is the only letter that can be correct. But that also eliminated all the words on my list except for a single non-English Dutch word.
Guest
T is 5th FLINT = 3, FL is known...from FLIES=2, not I and from FUNNY=1, not N. Thus T is last. FLAYS if 3 then Y is 4th. FL is known so AYS = 1. Not A as FLAIR = 2 (the FL) and not S as T was proven 5th above. Leaving Y to be 4th.

Guest
well the only word I see is FLUYT but it isn't English so I didn't think it's a legal word to host or guess, but I don't play as often as the rest of you so I'm a bit fuzzy on the rules. Guest
Ok, i'm not familiar with the google function. I typed "fluyt" into google and it came back with some Dutch references. I did try looking up the word in a few online dictionaries and they either re-directed me to "flyboat" or just said "word not found". Maybe it's one of those foreign words that come into common usage in English even though it isn't really English (Suduko, Gesundheit, etc) Anyways, I have a new word. _ _ _ _ _

Guest
SORRY = 1 STIRS = 0 eliminates S _ _ R _. MODEM = 0 eliminates O. So R is 3rd or Y is 5th STORY If 1 then Y is 5th. STIRS = 0 eliminates ST_R_. If the O is 3rd then Y is not 5th, but then the R is 3rd from above. Impossible. Therefore, the Y would be 5th. If 0 then R is 3rd as Y would be eliminated from SORRY = 1, leaving only the R 3rd

Guest
ALIAS = 1 From STIRS = 0 and ABBEY = 1 (the Y) we can rule out A_I_S, so L is 2nd or A is 4th. ALIEN If 1 then L is 2nd. From STIRS = 0 and ABBEY = 1 (the Y) we can rule out A_IE_ and the Y is 5th so N is not. L is 2nd If 0 then A is 4th as L is not 2nd. From above, L is 2nd or A is 4th.
