Guest
TASER. If 0, then L is first letter, being the only difference between LASER and TASER. If 2, then T is the first letter, being the only difference between LASER and TASER.
Guest
LATER If Later gets 0, S is the third letter being the only difference between the two. If it gets 2, T is the third letter. If it gets 3,4 or 5, you're counting wrong.

Guest
If TASED has 0, R is the last letter. 2 and D is the last.

Hirkala
LOSER; If 0, A is 2nd letter as is only difference between LASER - 1 and LOSER; If LOSER = 1, E is 4th letter as it would be the only constant letter, between LASER, TASER, LATER, TASED, TAPER, which all had 1 correct. Glycereine
LOSER; If 0, A is 2nd letter as is only difference between LASER - 1 and LOSER; If LOSER = 1, E is 4th letter as it would be the only constant letter, between LASER, TASER, LATER, TASED, TAPER, which all had 1 correct. Not necessarily wrong, but incomplete logic at best for your second explanation. If LOSER - 1 then E is the 4th letter. L is eliminated because LASER and TASER scored the same and L and T can't both be the first letter O is eliminated because LASER and LOSER both scored the same and O and A can't both be the second letter S is eliminated because TAPER and TASER both scored the same and P and S can't both be the third letter R is eliminated because TASER and TASED both scored the same and R and D can't both be the last letter

Guest
SENSE if SENSE is 1 then S in 4th position because S can't be in 1st place as SPREE is 0, 2nd position is already taken by A, N can't be in 3rd place as BUNNY is 0, E can't be in 5th place as SPREE is

Guest
FAMES if FAMES is 2 then F is first letter as MES is eliminated from NAMES - 1 (1 for A) if FAMES is 1 then L is second letter. FALSE is 2 => F is not in 1st place as FAMES is 1 for A => SE is eliminated from SENSE leaving AL.
