Question

Oblivious to your plight,

the world spins on it's axis;

Throughout blood sweat and tears,

and the most rigorous practice.

They come one by one,

claws flash at the wounds.

Bear the pain, fight in silence,

the end will come all too soon.

A glimmer of hope......

but that light has gone out.

Fear and frustration builds;

sureness fades into doubt.

As your last breath is drawn,

see the predators' mad grins.

Fallen form shoved aside,

a new dance it begins.

It's funnt how you never realize how many idioms are used daily until someone makes you try to come up with a couple dozen of them... Now the hard part is trying 'not' to use them anymore biggrin.gif

there isn't really any relationship with being colorblind... Sorry for any confusion, but what I was trying to say with the hint is that you need to change perspectives...

That said, you're a little closer... But still overthinking...

almost everyone who reads this riddle will say

duh.gif when this is over... The answer isn't necessarily hidden in plain sight, but it has been staring you right in the eye the whole time...

yeah, I tend to do that, over think things that is.

I won't tell my wife you said that, I'd never here the end of it. That said, still Thinking.

Can't be that easy.

Riddles, guessing the answers, moving on to the next one.

Can't be that easy.

I really thought that the 'Den' in the title would have given this one away pretty quickly...

Congrats to jkb and MrsP for figuring it out, but I think hambone deserves an extra 5 points for nailing down the entire scenario almost word for word...will post my initial setup and inspiration later if time permits. Nice job everyone :thumbsup:

**The first two stanzas are about posting and solving riddles

Oblivious to your plight,

the world spins on it's axis;

Throughout blood sweat and tears,

and the most rigorous practice. (trying to come up with a rhyme to fit your reasoning)

They come one by one,

claws flash at the wounds.

Bear the pain, fight in silence,

the end will come all too soon. (trying to come up with a reasoning to fit their rhyme)

**The third is about the solving process, the close calls and trying to help everyone to stay on track without giving the answer away...

A glimmer of hope......

but that light has gone out.

Fear and frustration builds;

sureness fades into doubt.

**And the last is about when it is solved obviously

As your last breath is drawn,

see the predators' mad grins.

Fallen form shoved aside,

a new dance it begins.

My original notes were:

Creating a riddle,

'Den'izens guessing the answer

and then moving on to the next challenge...

As i said, hambone had the important parts almost word for word... Had fun, hope you enjoyed it too... B))
