Night 1:
The night was so stormy, it was like watching a hurricane forming, dissolving, then forming again. It was a thunderstorm – without the lightning.
Up on Mt. Olympus, Zeus' cold eyes narrowed. “Stupid creature, they are! Whoever took the lightning bolt is brave...brave, but stupid. Whoever it was shall feel my wrath!!!” With these words, he slammed his fist down on the table, creating an minor earthquake in New York City.

Hearing his brother bellow, Hades shook his head. Lightning bolts...so simple! Why, his own cloak of darkness had been stolen... But at least he didn't need it tonight.

Resting with her friends under a tree, Annabeth lay awake. Percy was silent, sleeping peacefully, while Grover (she giggled a bit) was snoring. She was about to close her eyes when she saw a flash of jacket in the distance. Moving ever so silently, she started to investigate, not realizing that Grover was about to do some investigating of his own.

Listening to his brother rant, Poseidon got a headache. While the culprit might be found for their problem, he had his own. His...son. He wanted to know who he was, but didn't want to risk Percy knowing his identity too. Interrupting his brother's tirade, he went to bed early.

It was odd listening to Camp Half – Blood without the noise and the shouting, Luke realized. The night was supposed to be his friend, and yet he found himself wishing he could just join the other's in their light hearted discussions. He reflected on how these discussions were growing quieter and quieter; more secretive and suspicious. He held back a chuckle; for they would never suspect that he was the one behind all of it.

Sunrise came, and Mr. D got up with it. He was, though he would never admit it, excited for the first day of Camp Half – Blood to be in session. He picked up the newspaper, and was shocked at the headline:
“MOLLY MAE KILLED IN TOPPLING BRICKS ACCIDENT. DIRECT RESULT OF EARTHQUAKE.”
