  1. I'd pick HTT and win 75% of the time.
  2. Yeah, you got it. Looking back I should have given you the length and had you try to figure out the packing. It may have been more challenging. Care to post how you arrived at your answer, so I don't have to? Edit: I can't take credit for the drawing.
  3. Ties are good for the monsters of Hades. They will get to make two pleas and pick up two independents.
  4. Oh. somehow I missed that. I would have thought Perseus would be a better choice.
  5. Well, I've got a bunch of roles that neither Kat nor SG can be. SG being a monster was transferred to the surface when he made his plea, so Charon not letting him back into Tartarus saved his life. I'm still quite suprised that the Monsters and Achaeans have not tried to openly organize (maybe I'll start if no one else does). It seems a lot of info could be obtained that way. I'm curious who SG will try to recruit. 1) SomeGuy [Monster] - Voting for SomeGuy 2) Impervious [Olympian] voting for - Impervious 3) LIS - DEAD 4) GC - Voting for SomeGuy 5) Prof. T - Voting for SomeGuy 6) dawh - voting for IDNE 7) Kat 8) Bb 9) RMZ - voting for - Impervious 10) ST - voting for Impervious 11) Artificial I - voting for IDNE 12) Riranor 13) JS - voting for SomeGuy 14) Randro 15) twin bro - voting for - Impervious 16) IDNE- Voting for SomeGuy 17) crazypainter voting for Dawh
  6. I'll give you the packing, but you'll have to figure out the maximum length of the sides.
  7. I'm not sure I see where you're coming from.
  8. You got it. This series appears to converge at
  9. Looks good up through 9, but 10 and 11 seem to be off.
  10. The actual chance of someone not getting their own is a bit higher then those. Quite true.
  11. Dave walked into Sue’s office. “So, I’ve collected all the secret Santa gifts for the office party, how do you plan on distributing them?”, he asked. Sue replied, “We’ll just have every one of the nine people in the office reach in randomly and take a gift. Simple.” “Um, won’t there be a chance that someone will get their original gift? I mean they all look about the same size and everyone used the same wrapping paper that was in the break-room. You can’t tell one gift from another.” “Come on, Dave. I think there is a high probability that no one will receive their original gift” What is the probability that no one receives their own gift? A little while later Dave came back into Sue’s office. “The two guys from the mail-room want to come to the party also. They heard about the secret Santa thing, so they wrapped their gifts and I took them and put them with all the others. Now there are eleven gifts that all look the same. Does that change the probability of someone not getting their own gift? What is the probability that no one receives their own gift now that two additional people are added?
  12. They can certainly be as big as you want. As long as they fit inside the 1x1x1 cube. That's an improvement alright. Here's a hint. The arrangement I'm thinking of
  13. They are quite regular, as the picture indicates.

The narrator says he journeyed from Tuscaloosa to where the slaughter took place.
  15. Those 9 will surely fit inside the cube. But as HH noticed there's alot of room left inside.

    Are we counting ties?
  17. Nine Octahedrons of equal size are packed inside a 1x1x1 unit cube such that no more can fit inside. What is the maximum length of the edges of the octahedrons?
  18. Right. So that narrows it down to...one.
  19. He sacrificed someone in his place. That only fits Odysseus or Hades.
