The B route would still require R in the wrong position which still force V or T in wrong position and then U if not T so that is fine. So second guess would be CONTENT?

G can't be correct because then the N in POOLING would have to be 0.5 instead of 0. If POPLINS = 2 then ?O???N? since PLIS can't be in the word.

Well there's a start... I know the word has exactly one O from SHAMPOO = 0.5 and DAMPISH = 0. With POLYPOD = 1 either the O = 0.5 or O = 1. If O = 1 then L and Y can't be correct. So if I can prove LY aren't in the word then the first O must be correct. The second O can't be correct or SHAMPOO = 1 instead of 0.5 If DISPLAY = 0 then ?O?????.
