  1. But marrying children (I consider 12-14 children) and having multiple wives wouldn't be illegal without a government. The parents and other adults weren't objecting to giving their kids to be married so young. The kids were taught it was alright so they weren't objecting either. So it must be ok! Also stockpiling machine guns and such wouldn't be illegal without a government so these people weren't really doing anything wrong. There is a perfectly good reason to be able to own an automatic rifle. Have to be ready for those zombie attacks. (Please note I do not condone the above acts.) Can you imagine the religious cities that would form without a government? By choice for the parents but the kids wouldn't have much of a chance. Get backing from some religious DRO and away they go to do whatever they please. As long as no one objects it is just fine to do!
  2. You believe that without government all the corporations would then decide to play nice? Without a governement who would stop then from just taking what they want? Coal mining cities were brought up earlier in the thread. It would be relatively easy for a corporation to take over a city given money and time if there were no laws against it. Just gain control of the utilities, roads and a "security" force. Once they control the power, water, roads and have the means to enforce their control then can start influencing other business. Take control of the media and limit access to meeting places and any resistance would have to be underground. No freedom of speech to protect you from the corporation labeling you as a trouble maker and using force against you for disagreeing with their right to do business the way they want. Instead of lobbying the government they would start lobbying your DROs to work against anyone that causes them trouble. Money is power and left unchecked it will show itself for what it is. ----- I also can't help but draw the comparison to what Quag was asking you earlier. then surely yourself or ancestors are responsible for choosing to move in to a country owned by one government
  3. Do you know what a lobbyist is? Are you aware of the number of businesses that profit off of wars in general and some wars in particular?
  4. No, note the per Taz at the end. Yodell tried to RID Kill Taz too but was redirected onto you.
  5. A big thanks to all the players. The activity was insane and greatly appreciated. Also very big thanks to Araver for his willingness to co-host and help me through this. You can definitely tell which posts he wrote. ----- As for MVP... Molly was definitely the favorite player to watch. He got very lucky ( I figure he had a 7% chance to do what he did N1 ) and then was able to make enough sense to pick three different baddies to redirect N2. It's unfortunate that he couldn't convince the goodies for a tie but such is Mafia. I do want to through out a bit of note to Akriti and TheCube. You might not be aware of this but you did a good job recovering from the role outing. Baddies mostly had your roles reverse when all was said and done. They thought Cube's initial claim of Tweety was WIFOM and your posts following helped support that.
  6. Sorry a bit out of order... the part with the writer getting fired. ----- The lead writer sits quietly in front of the Director's desk as the Director flips through the latest story board drawings. The Director pulls out three boards and places them upside down on the desk, setting the rest off to the side. Looking up at the lead writer he slowly turns over the three drawings of Duck Dodger's engagement with Taz. Director: What part of no Taz did you not understand? Writer: What uncle? Director: Don't uncle me! What part of no Taz didn't your small brain not understand?! Writer: <squeeks> I have no idea why the Animator made those. The Director pulls out the parcel envelope with the golf score sheet inside, flicking the paper across the desk. He then pulls out a napkin with writing on it while the scowl on his face deepens. Writer: I didn't... Director: SILENCE! Writer: but... Director: You good for nothing... I do not care if you are my sister's whelp. You incompetent fool! You are fired. SECURITY! Escort this moron out. Head down in shame the former lead writer is lead to the exit between two neckless security guards. As he passes his desk he makes a grab for the coffee mug and cradles it in his arms as he leaves the building. ----- Back in the Director's office, he calls his secretary to send the lead animator in. Director: The stories are crap but you did good work with the little that you were provided. We'll need to work hard but we have time to rework this. Perhaps we could... As the Director keeps talking a small smile creeps onto the animator's face as he drinks from a coffee mug with the barcode sticker still on the bottom.
  7. Has censorship been brought up? Without regulation what is there to prevent corporations from buying up TV, cable and the internet and only allowing access to information that they want you to have?
  8. Careful maurice, Pepe Le Pew might get jealous.
  9. Yes, the mass role outing was totally unexpected. I wanted it to be a challenge to determine who others were... After N1 all Molly knew was that Maurice and Hirkala was Foghorn and Henery or Hirkala and Aura was. After D1 it is no surprize that he picked three other baddies to redirect to Peace. Taz wasn't designed to know that much that quickly. On reflection I think Taz should have had modivation or insentive to adversely effect goodies too.
  10. Also the baddie wincon is a resignation of sorts too. With the BTSC, once baddies have the majority there is no reasonable way for the baddies to not eliminate the goodies. So instead of Eliminate Goodies for a wincon it is the shorter Gain Majority.
  11. It happened in Food Mafia. Last baddie was confined to one of two people. We picked the wrong person for the lynch and baddie resigned since the night phase was pointless. Here the baddies are known and can be eliminated with little fuss. Only way for baddies to win is for the goodies to go counter to everything they know or all go inactive. Why drag it out 2-4 days?
  12. *sigh* I'm not a very nice host. Very well then... Game over. Taz is dead and the baddies concede to avoid dragging out the known conclusion of goodies win. *throws confetti* Stick around for the wrap up there will be cookies and punch.
  13. Because a wincon was achieved.
  14. I do not know why Araver caught something. Maybe he went out into the rain without an umbrella.
  15. Yep. Araver caught something so not sure when he will be on to finalize the wrap up.
  16. I noted your No Contest and based upon goodie reaction accepted it.
  17. Are you filling in for Araver?
  18. It was mostly a joke. --edit-- And it was clearly yelling based upon UPPERCASE not the sizing.

Hey Aaryan, you should be ok to start prepping to begin. No contest was accepted and Looney Tunes is wrapping up today. Just waiting on Araver for the finale.
  20. Only hosts are allowed to yell at people.
  21. I know the answer to this...
  22. There is only 119 pages.
  23. The Lead Animator was leaving the building when the agitated courier boy found him. He took the piece of paper from him and quickly glanced over. "Killing Molly Mae? He's got to be kidding me. Since when does Duck Dodgers find his targets so easily? Since when can anyone catch Molly Mae? Not on my watch, no sir. He slipped the paper in his pocket then continued home. This little charade will be conveniently forgotten. Let them yell all they want. Lead Writer: curr3nt Lead Animator: Araver 1. Aaryan 3. Molly Mae 4. Anon26 5. KlueMaster 6. EDM 10. Akriti 11. Thalia 12. TheCube 13. YoDell 14. Hidden G 15. maurice 16. Darth Nox Dead: 2. Hirkala - Lynched and found to be Henery Hawk 7. Auramyna - Killed by Bugs Bunny 8. flamebirde - Lynched and found to be Pepe Le Pew 9. (Other)Medji - Lynched and found to be Elmer Fudd Day 4 ends at 11 PM EDT Wednesday July 6th
  24. Out on the 16th hole the lead writer places a golf score sheet into a parcel envelope. On the front it shows evidence that the writer either needs more time on the greens or he should give it up all together. In smudged pencil on the back... Sylvester and Tweety Sylvester traps Klue Duck Dodgers kills Molly Mae Bugs, Tweety and Roadrunner

    I'm not telling.
