  1. Okay. You can ask Dr. Basil if you want. Sarah: (this is before she collapsed) 1. This is the sign of the BOA, right? PS Good to know, thanks.
  2. Dr. Basil: 1. I guess there's no stopping now... I know I'll get injected with the titanium chloride the next day, but my son already because of me. I cannot let this continue. I got it from the BOA. I suppose you already know all about it. They wanted me to inject it into people to test their results. 2. It arrives in packages on my desk. Not even the mail. 3. No official. 4. Yes, the symbol of the BOA. You inspect the tissues. Sarah is still trying to get over Luther's death when she collapses. Her friend collapses right after. You thank the heavens that you're wearing inspector gloves and put the tissue box in a bag. You label it "CONTAMINATED." Maybe I made a typo. You're Detective Dennis. Sorry.
  3. I don't know, you tell me. I just posted the picture. You find Sarah sobbing in her office comforted by her friend. Sarah: *sob* *sob* Oh, hello, Detective. I.. just miss Luther... Now it is slightly more difficult to tell her of the will, but you muster up your confidence by the feel of your police license in your wallet. You tell her Luther loved her. Sarah: Oh... I loved him, too... I wish I wasn't so cruel to him! She lets out a girly scream and sobs even harder. You flinch and you feel goosebumps up and down your skin. Sarah: [insert sobby monologue] When she's done, you leave with a box of tissues you got from Detective Basil.
  4. Sarah: 1. My mentor is actually Dr. Basil. Soon, he recognized me as an equal and invited me as his partner. Luther's apartment is almost cleared, except for the bed and the chairs. The moving people state that it was because he wanted those to stay there in the will that was read at his funeral, not the one in the bed. Dr. Basil: 1. As you would have guessed, I was a certified doctor. I retired, but the government rehired me as a doctor. You know, the Basilisk and stuff. So I'm researching non-deadly cures. (he looks at you with an unapproving look) His research seems fine. You give him chickens as a gift. He looks at you with an insulted look and says, "I personally don't think killing is the best cure." and puts them in a cage. Am I starting to lose you guys? Or is it just me? Should I quicken the pace?
  5. Here is the safe. I will post replies shortly after this one. The lines do not perfectly line up. Though I could go elaborate, I would have to stay up later than I should. I hope you get the idea once you get the clue. Basilisk Safe.doc
  6. Very well. You visit the bed. The funeral men couldn't move it for some reason because of legal issues. It doesn't matter, point is, they didn't move it. You unhinge the mattress. It swings over and slams onto the ground with a big WHUMP! You look in it. It has a single, unopened envelope and a picture. I'll update the picture. The envelope says, "To Detective Dennis. Open when you are alone." You open it, seeing as you are Detective Dennis, and you're alone. Inside is Luther's will. Luther's Will: I would like to let Sarah Anthony know, that actually, I loved her. With all my heart. I hope that what happened in high school is past now. I would like for Isaac Basil to continue his research, but stop using titanium chloride, as it seems to be troublesome. I would like all my property given to Jane Witherby, who has always been a great companion to me at times of loneliness. This is the last section of my will, and it is totally confidential except to Detective Dennis. The code is 53622 Detective, you may show others my will. My name is Luther Basil, and this is my will. Dr. Basil: 1. Er... The government provided it to us... with a quizzical look. 2. How do you - (taser is now in his face) Alright, I got it, answer the questions. Well, I actually don't know, I'm not in the BOA. He's not lying. Sarah: Titanium chloride... My mentor suggested the idea of combining chloride and titanium. In liquid form, it is surprisingly heavier than mercury. But... I never thought... Now that I think of it, it could work... The chickens are your new siren. No one complains, but they look at you strangely. Particularly those you questioned with the chickens. A couple people drop dead as you drive by. You are shocked.
  7. Very well. You amplify the chicken noises to full volume in the Basilisk Room. The victims freeze, then cough, then they limp. They have all died. Then a doctor says, "Look! The Basilisk in them all disappeared! Normally they stay in corpses, but they're gone! Problem is, they're dead..." Good job, you somewhat completed the cure half. Now you must stop the people who started it. I told you it would be long.
  8. is trying to make the Basilisk harder by repeating answers. He should stop, and is planning to about now.

  9. I think I'll change it soon, then...

  10. What do you mean by turn the bugs up to full volume?
  11. Luther: Sigh... I guess I must tell you. However, I won't live very long, so I'll have a very short time telling you what happened. The BOA and I have a theory that titanium chloride in liquid form can enhance the human strength. Strangely, it seems to trigger a deadly virus, now known as the Basilisk. Chickens depend on this virus. There is one cure... It is... *cough* Luther collapses. You try to find a cure to save him, but he has the Basilisk. Luther croaks, "Chicken...noise...ampli..." Luther is dead.
  12. lol True. But I have a question. Does this mean that time existed before everything? Since apparently there was nothing before the Big Bang, how do we know whether time flowed before the Big Bang? When did it start? Will it end? If so, when? Those are impossible to answer, but we could go somewhere from there, I think.
  13. Actually, harvey, you're starting to get what I was thinking. By going deeper into the philosophy of time, we may also touch other topics, like dimensions. Speaking of dimensions, I heard from a friend that the fourth dimension is time. I disagree, because we live in a three-dimensional world, and therefore there is no way the dimensions cross over. Even pictures have an extremely thin layer of ink, which proves the 2nd dimension wrong. Going back to the fourth dimension, I don't think there is even a fourth dimension. However, as harvey states, there could be a fourth dimension/world where there is an extra point that we do not recognize. If this is true, that means living things in the second dimension would not recognize the third axis, Z. But I must say, I do not think the fourth dimension exists. What do you think?
  14. That's a good one. How about.. The economy is so bad that speech isn't free anymore.
  15. lol hawaiian good luck sign
  16. Ah, yes... Are we stuck? You could visit the suspects' homes... After they're doing things they really want to do.
  17. I'm sorry, I thought I already answered yours. I'll answer it right now. I can guess what "sniffer chickens" are, so here goes. No one in quarantine is infected except for the ones who we know are infected. Chicken description in orange. No one seems to care when they see your diary with the new cover. Chickens start yapping very, very loudly. Dr. Basil: *Luthess is Sarah's nickname for Luther, and vice versaw for Sargh, so I'll ignore the first two questions, if that's okay.* 1. You already saw my records, it's fine. But you can look at them again, if you want. Chickens start rotating around Dr. Basil. Sarah: 1. No. There is not. We hope to find one, though. 2. Ah, Dr. Basil. (pleasant conversation, nothing important) Chickens don't do much. Luther: 1. W-what? Uh.. sure... I never knew I had chickens here. How did you know the chickens liked his bedroom? You leave two bugged chickens in his house. You bug Dr. Basil's place.
  18. Yes. Sure, they will be in protective custody. Lie detector results in blue. Mark: 1. W-what are you talking about? 2. W-what? It says Mark is not lying. Dr. Basil: 1. W-what? 2. S-Sarah? Oh.. yes.. of course. I don't know. Luther's answer seems false, but it may be from the panic caused by his very rough arrival. You may question again later. Luther: 1. ...very well. I will tell you everything. Just.. let me recollect.
  19. Dr. Basil refuses to answer first, but does once he sees the tasers pointing at multiple places around his body. Dr. Basil: 1. The BOA is a group who wishes nothing but to give power to humankind. 2. (angrily) None, you took them all away, remember? Sarah: 1. (sniggers) BOA? Silliest little wing in the government. Can't believe they didn't get rid of them yet. 2. No, I don't know anyone from the BOA. 3. No. Luther: 1. Government... You mean the BOA, don't you? No, not myself.. But... Mark has! (look of regret) 2. Er... We got it from.. Mark! (look of regret again) We got it from Mark. 3. Mark fused carbon and titanium, then he melted it in high temperature. You kind of guessed it, though, right? 4. Genius group, they are. Every theory correct. 5. Er... If I blurt out the plan, I'd get killed... (you poke his arm with the taser) HOLY CRAP!!! OKAY, OKAY, I'LL ANSWER!! (you remove the taser, he pants a little) Alright, Ba.. I mean, Mark wanted me to do the government a chore. He wanted me to give a serum to Dr... Sarah and tell her to inject it into people. That's all I know. 6. Yeah, well, you'll have to ask M-Mark to do it, and I doubt he'll do it for you. 7. I-I was n-never part of the B-BOA. Remember your tools. You have a pistol (for your defense), contacts book, (you automatically earn a contact and what you know so far when you meet someone new... You can always check it by asking for it), a police squad (you can request to take them with you; they're mostly for dangerous areas, watching people, or enforcement), a fingerprint watchamacallit(for mysterious objects), a lie detector(if you're not sure about someone's evidence; usually accurate), a professional medical crew(for identifying way of death), and your own classic Sherlock Holmes magnifying glass(to look professional ). Also, you're very buff. (you can do the majority of the things humans can do)
  20. Oh, and I probably won't be able to do Mafia anymore.

  21. Happy belated anniversary.

  22. Luther: 1. Er.. none... I don't know what you're talking about. 2. Titanium carbide? What? 3. I honestly don't know what you're talking about... 4. (with a look of confidence) The BOA is a genius group who has the most logical and explanatory theories. It's a shame that other people think it's rubbish. I mean, really. 5. I just answered your question. Do you want to threaten Luther with a taser and reask all of the question? Special watch is appointed. You cannot find any evidence of the BOA. Not even an official website. Alright. Since I didn't study chemistry yet and don't know much about bondings, let's call it A. You compare A with the unidentified serums. It is the same material. You do. In fact, you go ahead and take it from all hospitals.
  23. You test the serums. One of them is unidentified. No, more... seven. The rest are indeed varying flu shots. Liquid titanium carbide (I completely made this up) is molten titanium carbide, and is known to be almost impossible to create, mostly because titanium carbide is a very strong material. Scientists have yet to discover its effects on the human body. The most ridiculous theory is of the Baton of Asclepius, a special medical wing in the government known to have created wild and illogical theories that have never failed to be incorrect. The Baton of Asclepius, or the BOA, appear to indicate that... The website reloads on its own. The article now says: Liquid titanium carbide is molten titanium carbide, and is known to be almost impossible to create, mostly because titanium carbide is a very strong material. Scientists have yet to discover its effects on the human body. [This section has been removed by the Pentagon. We apologize for the inconvenience.] When you are infected, it takes a full week for the victim to show signs of it. There is no way of detecting it beforehand. After a week, you collapse, at which point you grow contageous. After a month, you die, but if the disease gets in your bloodstream, not just your skin, you will die in less than a week. It's been a week since Minerva's request. You find out that Bart - has died.
  24. Luther's Diary: You flip to today's entry. December 15, 2010. Today has been a disaster. The detective keeps asking about the shot Basil gave to Bart. I mean, what does he care about liquid titanium carbide? Especially if it enhances the strength of human beings?.. Okay, so it's only a theory, but it can be proven, but somehow it stimulated a virus within us that is causing.. The rest has been smudged out. You have banned Basil from patients and confiscated all of his syringes. You can do anything with the syringes.
  25. Dr. Basil: 1. (smiling) No, but now that I realize, it actually is. Unintentionally, I'm guessing. (He actually is, but only because I thought it would be cool to name the doctor after a deadly disease. ) Dr. Basil: 2. Some big birds, as a matter of fact, do eat small snakes. I am not sure about venomous, however.
