  1. 1. Surrounded in jet black, and also surrounded in white light, 2. Received easily, yet impossible to be rid of, 3. Strikes fear into most, but relief in some, 4. I linger around battlefields, harvesting my special crop. These four clues all describe me. What am I?
  2. Eerily, they all say the same thing. (and no, I am not being lazy, there is a legit reason to this) 1. No one. There's no one left besides us. 2. Our base is destroyed. When you ask him, Jerry's eyes twinkle. Jerry: Why, of course! Just follow me. Meet me at Bob's Warehouse. The entrance is near there. There's nothing in it, especially since you officers got all the members. I'll show you around, but as far as I know, there's nothing in it.
  3. Several more members of the Phoenix is captured. Their names are Lucifer and Egor. One of them was recaptured. His name is Morris. You may interrogate them at any time. (P.S. Please try to get more people to participate in my mystery. The more the merrier! Thanks.)
  4. Jerry used to work for the Phoenix. He escaped jail to help you.
  5. The Defendant shrugs in disbelief. Defendant: A month and you found out nothing... Very well. No more questions, your Honor. Judge: Witness dismissed. You realize you don't even realize what you're testifying for. You ask the judge. Judge: Detective Dennis is sued by a man. He was the father of one of your brother's clients. She was saved, but then was killed ruthlessly by her previous attackers. Detective Dennis was shocked, and though he arrested the Phoenix, did not call any attention to the death of this woman. This ticked off the man. But since Detective Dennis is not here, I might have to stop the trial for now. Didn't you have a meeting with the defendant? You head over to the bar where the meeting was to be held. Defendant: Why hello, lieutenant. You: Hey. What did you want to talk about? Defendant: Well, there is a slight problem. I don't trust my client. He isn't suing for a correct reason. Point is, I'm on your side. I'd like to help my old friend. I'd also like to apologize to him. I was overly jealous, but since her death, I realized I was wrong. You: What's your name? He takes off a rubber layer off his face. Defendant: Jerry.
  6. Erm.. yeah... By the way, the second one was ended a while ago. You can join the third one anytime you want.
  7. With the power you got from being Brian's brother, you order a search team to go into Moosehead Lake. Over Maine, it blows up due to a bomb hidden in the plane. No one knows where the remaining scraps of the plane fell. What do you do now?
  8. This is the picture of the safe. I'll be waiting for the answers to the court questions. And I'd like to make an edit. It's a puzzle safe. Not a rotation one. I used them twice already. Here's a riddle from the Phoenix. Pieces fit, sixteen in all, First in Narcissus' palm, Take your pick, but be aware, a thousand heads will give you stares. Second piece, piece of cake Head into depth of Moosehead Lake. Enter fish, you better flee into the airplane crash debris. My last hint I'll give for now, and though you won't understand how, your dear brother, Dennis of Dread will soon be both alive and dead.
  9. Just saying, I know I said David is coming from Vietnam. No, not the Vietnam war. After he fought in the Iraq war, he visited Vietnam, and was sent to America from there. Just making it clear.
  10. Let's say this happened before the court thingamajig. You try many people, safecrackers, lock picks, but in the end they all say: "It's a rotation safe." I'll upload the picture sometime later and you can try to crack the safe.
  11. Very well. I apologize for my tardiness. I will have both appointments in separate posts. This time the Defendant has questions. He says, "Lieutenant, did the detective deal with any unlawful businesses, like, let's say, did he involve himself into a marijuana business?" "Objective, your honor! He is leading the witness!" "Sustained. You may rephrase the question." He nods and asks: "Was the detective involved in an illegal business?" Next, he asks you: "Do you know the location of the information acquired by Detective Dennis relevant to the Basilisk?" His last question: "Does the Detective have the Basilisk?" How will you answer?"
  12. You do. The plaintiff grumbles and says to the judge, "No more questions, your honor." The defendant says, "No questions, your honor." However, the look he gives you says he has a lot of questions. Personal questions. Sure enough, he walks up to you after court and says, "Hey, David, want a drink around 7:00? Got a couple questions to ask you." You nod and follow the police officer out of the building. General Kang will "escort" you to your home. (a.k.a. lift you and heft you all the way back home. Your next hearing is at 5:00 later today. Your drink with the defendant is 7:00 later today. What would you like to do now?
  13. You're reading a book, minding your own business, but then a familiar face charges through the door. You: General Kang! General Kang: I thought I taught you soldiers well enough. (yells) Read the damn papers next time! You're called to court! You: W-what? General Kang lifts you, ("Ugh, gained some weight since the army days, have ya?") and hefts you to the nearest Courthouse. It's the one near the White House. You take the vow. The plaintiff clears his throat. Plaintiff: Where was Detective Dennis when you last saw him? You: I-I don't know. That's why I'm looking for him. Plaintiff: Then what information have you gotten about him? Detective Dennis' words: Don't ever trust lawyers. Whatever you say to them, they will absorb it and turn it right back against you. Should you tell the plaintiff? Or do you lie?
  14. This mystery is in real time, EST. (U.S. and Canada)
  15. Doctor: Uh... Lieutenant? Um.. those aren't tattoos. They've been branded. You have the car, but the Detective has the keys. On top, it would be very ironic if you hotwired it, seeing as you're working for legal forces...
  16. Lie detector results in blue. Melnius: 1. Nervous? Why would I-I be nervous? Should I-I be nervous? By the way, your l-l-looking around i-is just giving my boss more time to e-exterminate all of you! Ha! No signs of him being nervous. At all. Vito, Narcissus, Melnius, with a strange milky, mystic look: When the world is full of dread, I will summon the undead. Arm, leg, chest and head will keep the once alive regret. When the swarm is finally done, 7-8-9, quarter to one, at a place where the bird was hung, One shall leave, one shall shun. Strangely, the lie detector said that the bodies were not alive during this prophecy.
  17. Police officer Smith was in Detective Dennis' police squad when they infiltrated the Phoenix's base. He is more than willing to help Detective Dennis. All the safes are in the walls, so you had to take him around to investigate the walls. He said none of them matched.
  18. Narcissus: 1. No idea. Boss's idea. 2. Why would I tell you that? The game would be too easy. (even the tazer didn't do squat; he won't say anything) 3. Dyed it. For the new game Boss is playing with you. Vito: 1. I dunno, man. As I said, revenge. I'm guessing. 2. I dunno, we meet on one street, they blindfold us, and next thing we know we're in the base. 3. Dyed it. Dunno why. Melnius: 1. Like in hell I would tell you! (You: Then Hell you will get. But no torture makes him talk. These guys are tough!) 2. (what Vito said) 3. We're supposed to resemble the victims after a year. NEWS FLASH Victims of the Basilisk are now surviving for more than a month, allowing doctors more time to figure out the cure to the poisonous titanium oxide. However, the victims seem to go through more and more pain as time passes by. REPORT ON MISSING DETECTIVE The missing legendary Detective Dennis' disappearance may be connected to the starting of this crisis. His brother, Lieutenant David Dennis, is held for questioning August 18, 2010. MYSTERIOUS SAFES FOUND IN LOCAL ALLEYS All sorts of safes have appeared in alleys mysteriously. They each seem to have a different code. The odd thing is that none of the alleys in which the safes are located seem to have gone through construction. In fact, they just appeared.
  19. 2. Can a man drown in the fountain of eternal life? 3. Your mission is to not accept the mission. Do you accept? 4. This girl goes into the past and kills her Grandmother. Since her Grandmother is dead the girl was never born, if she was never born she never killed her grandmother and she was born. 5. If the temperature this morning is 0 degrees and the Weather Channel says, "it will be twice as cold tomorrow,".... What will the temperature be? 6. Answer truthfully (yes or no) to the following question: Will the next word you say be no? 7. What happens if you are in a car going the speed of light and you turn your headlights on? 8. I conclude with this challenge: Let the God Almighty create a stone, which he can not pick up (is not capable of lifting)! I disagree about the grandmother one. If you killed your grandmother, then your grandfather will either (A) get another wife or (B) not marry at all due to either depression (if he was already married) or just plain laziness. This depends on how they met. Point is, if he doesn't get another wife, you would never exist. Of course, probability says your grandfather will marry someone else. In that case, it goes to the crossroads of whether they will have children or not. If they don't, you don't exist. If they do, nice, you might exist. But then there's the factor of whether THEY will have children. That's you. If they do, you will be you, except slightly different. Your parents will, chances are, be very different from what they were from when you existed. SO either you won't exist or you will be very different from what you used to be.
  20. Narcissus seemed like a good guy, but he distracted the boss (I forget his name) because he was trying to warn him that Brian was coming. Sadly, he is still working for the Phoenix. What's a placetbat? Unless you were saying, "Touch them in the place it counts." I can only guess where the place is, but if it's painful, I LIKE IT! Narcissus, age 20, tattoos of bloody hands all over his body. He has white hair. No parents. Narcissus: 1. Nothin', man, I'm just doing my job. It was good money. I'm broke, you know. Living in them slums. 2. Bossman has a son, Lil' Phil. He's in charge now. 3. I dunno, man. (looks at his feet, then looks around) Where the *CENSORED* am I, anyway? Uh, isn't the detective dude in the safe or somethin'? Vito, age 10, tattoos of bloody heads all over his body. He also has white hair. Lil' Phil's son. Vito: 1. What the *CENSORED* are you doing, man?!? Let me out! (you take out the taser, examine it, turn it on, and ask the question again) Whoa, easy, man! That ain't no toy! (you wave it in his face) ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT! I dunno what my daddy wants. (lip quivers) I'm just doing my job! 2. My granddaddy passed the leadership to my daddy. He's boss now. 3. Revenge. I'm guessing now, alright? That detective guy made my granddaddy feel bad, so now they're trying to kill him. Melnius Suinlem, age 35, tattoos of bloody legs all over his body. He too has white hair. Claims to be police officer Gerald Suinlem' son. Stutters a lot or is very nervous during the interview. Melnius: 1. Dude! I-I didn't do anything wrong, did I-I? I-I-I mean, there i-isn't anything the Phoenix i-is doing wrong? E-excuse me? (you take out tazer) Sorry! Uh, don't taze me please! Oh, L-Lord, what have I-I gotten myself i-into? I-I don't know what my boss wants to do, l-lieutenant!. Please, I-I didn't mean to! 2. I-I don't know that e-either! 3. Man, I-I dunno that! I-I'm not the e-effing boss! E-eh, l-look here, my daddy is gonna get you! LOTS of hints and clues in there.
  21. ..it just started... just don't have much internet access, so I can't check often. Checking now.

  22. Brian Dennis struggled in the safe. He squirmed and squiggled in the ropes. But there was no way for him to get out. ... Somewhere in Vietnam, a soldier was being sent back to America after the war. David Dennis was a brave man, much like his brother. You will be him for this mystery. Your goal? Rescue Brian, and try not to catch the ongoing Basilisk. The President calls you up and explains what happened in the last installment. President: Detective Dennis disappeared when searching for the safe entrance to the Phoenix base. My team searched for this entrance. The old entrance was clogged up, which means that the entrance has been moved to somewhere else. Unfortunately, there were spies from the Phoenix gang. Fortunately, we caught all of them. Their names are Narcissus, Vito, and Melnius, also known as Melly. You may interview any one of them. You can also ask for their background info from the police, being the detective's brother. Alright, time to save the detective!
  23. not much, writing my third mystery

  24. Yup, sorry, it's been going on for long enough, but I'm about to post my new one, so check the Games section soon!
  25. Yes it is. I'm thinking of how to start it... I have an idea, though. I promise it will come up in the Games section later this week.
