  1. They stopped digging a couple days ago. They reported that they cleared a flimsy path that will hold for a week or so more. You decided entering is safe enough after they place a structure to hold the metal. You enter the other door after picking the lock. You're in a room with a single sign in front of you. No door. Somehow, you run into Elena who is pointing a gun at you. (Forced) Dialogue: Elena Elena: You didn't tell me. You: Tell you what? Elena: Sergio and Amanda. Why didn't you tell me? (starts crying) WIT
  2. Oh wait. Sorry, Mateo's in custody already. He gives you a rhyme. (haven't done these in a while) Sin to kill a mockingbird. The number on the wall. At least the Son and Girl heard 'bout fleeing from it all.
  3. Very true. You'll need proof to arrest Mateo. For that, you need a witness. I don't want to go through court crap, so bring me a witness who holds plenty evidence, ie.) kidnappees. You see where I'm going with this? And you need to specify in "answers." I'm presuming you want to find out where Sergio and Amanda are. "In the wall," he replies. Well, that's very helpful, isn't it? @MissKitten I'm pretty sure that's legal. I don't know, it's kind of dick-y in my opinion, but technically they weren't there. I don't know so much about waiting there. How about a couple police officers "investigating" and you're on the sofa watching?
  4. So, arrest Mateo or not? I'm getting the vibe that we should arrest him. EDM, you are so close, I jumped hyperactively.
  5. Close. Not exactly. Keep figuring out why there were muddy footprints, but the kids were clearly kidnapped on the street. Yes, Mateo eventually kidnapped them. Amanda wasn't kidnaped for the reason you think she was, though.
  6. MATEO IS NOT ALIEN. Jesus. My computer is being messed up, so I have to type in the codes for color myself. Bear with me if I type in the wrong code. Dialogue: Robbie You: Don't worry, I won't tase you as long as I get the truth. So relax, have a cup of water or something. On second thought, don't, 'cause judging from your panic attack, it will hurt a lot more when I tase you. Robbie: Mrmph. (sits down shakily) You: So what do you know about Sergio? And why don't you tell me a little about Mateo also? Robbie: S-Sergio's Mateo's kid. You: Got that part. Robbie: Mateo leads the gang. You: Gang? (you can't wait to use this as evidence against a fellow officer that you have an uncanny talent of choosing cases that involve gangs) Robbie: The Phoenix. In a quick movement, you somehow manage to make it look like you zapped his lamp next to you without tasing it. Really, you just did it really quickly. You: Why don't you start telling the truth? My brother killed the boss. I saw it. I stabbed the corpse, in fact. Robbie shivers. Robbie: F-fine! He leads the l-local Mafia. Suddenly, a bullet flies through the window into his chest. He barfs blood all over you. You ignore it and catch him, drop him, and flip the sofa and use Robbie's body to protect your head, your only unprotected part. You know you have a bulletproof suit on, but after the Basilisk epidemic, you don't particularly trust it. Somehow you expected the murder to happen. You hear sixteen shots. Three go through. One snitches your arm. Thankfully, no blood. But still, damn. It was a nice suit. You take out the AKUzi and fire random shots in the direction of the window. One of them miraculously hit their mark. Man, you love this. It seems there are no more assassins. You stick Robbie's foot out just in case. Good. No more. You crawl out and walk out of the house and into the street to see who you killed. What a surprise. It resembles one of Sergio's, Amanda's and your kidnappers. No doubt Mateo's gang. But before you move on, you should probably check out why Sergio and Amanda were on the streets in the first place.
  7. So which approach do you want to take? The aggressive or the diplomatic (and cynical, I must say) approach?
  8. lol no. Have there been any unearthly things in my mysteries? No, the epidemic doesn't count, that's more like a freakish 21st century epidemic. Also, I never said it wasn't Mateo, just said there wasn't enough evidence to try and arrest him. Now that you think about it, it DID sound a lot like Mateo... And it's pronounced DEEdative. Nice try, though. You encounter Robbie. He's... unhappy that you're here. No, wrong word, surprised is a better word. Dialogue: Robbie You storm in his house and sit on his couch. You: Miss me? Robbie: (bewildered expression, stuttering) How..! But..! I..! Room..! You: (looking at fingernails, take out taser and toss it, catching it, examine it) I got a few questions to ask you. Robbie trembles. You: I went through an... interesting building the other day. Almost got crushed, in fact. You know anything about it? Robbie is trembling violently. Looks like you'll have to use your WIT.
  9. You were at the corner of the sidewalk of Robbie's house. The CCTV shows you walking down the street. Then people who seem to be the same people who kidnapped Sergio and Amanda sneak up behind you and hit you on the head. You're knocked out and stuffed in a bag similar to Sergio's and Amanda's. They drive you to the small maze-like structure. They drive away. Sadly, the truck leads out of the city, and you don't have a right to search anywhere outside Climax City, Ruralia and Washington D.C. Darn. There is no such number, according the phone directories, but the area code points to Climax City. You are now armed with an odd Uzi-sized AK47 and a full-body bulletproof armor. The elite police force is completely trustworthy. Same ones from the Phoenix. By the way, the ones from the Basilisk have been arrested. The conversation has been recorded. You also track the number. Somewhere around the luxurious area of Climax City. You take a drug that prevents the use of sedative called dedative against you. I know, so creative.
  10. The wall is knocked over, you cry out loud. The ball, which is about the size of a house, is released. (ironic. In a game of logic, my puzzle has defeated logic.) You know that if you don't get out of the way, you'll be smashed by the ball. You jump behind a fence. The ball barely catches you, and you feel your nose break. Good news is, the wall is broken. Even better, you can escape. The bad news? You just smashed half your police squad. Well, at least you're out. You call 911 and they take the injured police officers. Half your elite police force is gone. (heh. I'm evil.) At least you can go about anywhere now, after you got pardoned from the judge in court. (again, defeated logic) You may continue your case. Turns out no one in the squad knows how you got there. The lie detector doesn't lie. (see what I did there?) Seems like you have an enemy who doesn't want you to find Sergio and Amanda.
  11. Amanda's mom came about two days after Sergio's mom.
  12. Am I close? No. I'm starting get slightly annoyed by these presumptions that Sergio and Amanda had sex. THEY ARE NOT IN A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP. I know, it's odd that two people of the opposite gender can be that close of friends without love kicking in, but they're not.
  13. You shoot the target. It falls and hits what you now realize is a switch. The iron bars withdraw. You set up the bomb right next to the door. You turn the key. It ticks and the monitor says thirty seconds. You sprint as far away as possible. You count to 30, and the door blows apart Ina ball of flame. It crumbles into ashes. You walk through the door. You get a phone call from the Wall Number. "Good job," it said. The voice sounds familiar. It continues, "What happens when the unstoppable wrecking ball comes across an unsmashable wall? As you speak, a huge wrecking ball descend from the high ceiling. A giant wall is standing before you.
  14. The barber is a woman, or there are more than one barbers. Actually, another possibility is that he/she gets shaved by a non-barber.
  15. The police call. The location of the phone call doesn't exist. It's just a barren strip of land. Ask them if there's a underground door or something. They say they skimmed the place over. The metal detector is, well, useless because the entire place is covered in metal. Or so it says. They say that they'll try digging. You chop through the spikes and you get to the door. You try to bust the iron bars, but it doesn't work. You don't doubt the bomb would blow them off, but that's a risk you're not taking. For all you know, it COULD be a very weak one and only bend the iron. The target is next to you, by the way.
  16. How is gun flame? Hmm... But shortdude got it right. In order, you have to use the axe, gun and bomb to open the door. Wait.. Now that you tried to observe it best you can behind the spikes, the door has no hinges, and has iron bars covering it. It's a piece of rock piled together. The spikes actually seem like thin wood.
  17. Too late to edit. The sign says, "Hint: I come in chain, blade and flame in order." You sure you still want to shoot the target?
  18. It is a shadow. You notice there is a light in front if the door. You stand between the door and the light. The door opens. You call the wall number. Nothing replies as you SOS. Then it says, "Good job. I'll open the door." The door opens to another room. This one is less gloomy. More frightening. Spikes are everywhere about five feet from where you are. There's a poster next to you that has a big message. It says, "Hint: I come in chain, blade and flame." Under the poster (which is on a wall) there is an axe, a bomb and an auto-fire gun with a large string of bullets lying next to it. The bomb has a key tied to it which seems to fit into a keyhole. Probably to detonate it, learned from your policing experiences. There is a target on the other side of the room. You can carry all three items. What do you do?
  19. Sorry. You're locked in a building. A single rusty door stands locked. You do everything in your power (you even shoot the door; bullets bounce off) to try to get out. You're in a grimy room and a nearby torn-up poster lies on the floor. It used to say, "Worship Walter." You actually still have your cellphone. You call your police squad to bring Robbie into custody. You can't interrogate him yourself, so you hire the second best interrogator to interrogate him. You also ask the police to locate the source of the phone call. I guess to waste the time you can explore. You come across another poster that says, "Worship Walter." You do the same check you did last time. Nothing. Wait. There is something. A message. "Escape." No $#!^, Sherlock. (HA! I'm so punny...) There's a phone number under the message. It'll be referred to as the "Wall Number." There's a big sign next to another door that says, "I need light to be dark. Put me in the door to open it." You don't know that yet. You need proof. You don't even know that this Walter is the victim Walters. I think right now, you should concentrate on leaving.
  20. For some odd reason, yes, you still have your invisible pen. No markings have been found. Nothing special is behind it. Just the same old grimy wall. You're on the right track about the last name. The police squad is not with you. You try to remember where you were. You were walking from your car to Robbie's house. Then you blacked out about five blocks away. It seems the police didn't notice. You'll have to climb out yourself.
  21. Let's be frank. No one does. But a nearby poster says, "Worship Walter."
  22. Yeah. Again. I have an obsession with safes. Not medically, but I like the idea of being trapped in a safe. You wanna observe the room?
  23. And let's keep politics out of this as much as we can. There had better be no flame war in this game.
  24. Not too much. Despite Robbie's looks, his house is pretty cruddy. Beer cans everywhere, smells like crap, you even find a piece of female underwear. How the hell he got that, you're not asking. I'm getting different decisions on what to do. You can arrest Mateo for withholding information, but it'll take a quite a bit of convincing. Not like you could've if you wanted to. The next thing you think is, "F@#%. What is it with me and getting trapped in safes?" Yes. Again. I have a slight obsession.
  25. You know you have a lie detector? For free? (no riddles) Dialogue: Mateo You barely snag a meeting with Mateo after threatening and pleading. You: Have you heard anything about Ruralia recently? Mateo: Depends on what you mean by that. You give up. You're not gonna get anything by persisting. You: What's the relationship between Sergio and Robbie? Mateo: (fake surprise) Robbie? You: Robbie in (Robbie's address). Apparently, he knows that Sergio is your child. What's your relationship with him? Or Sergio's? Mateo: That's for you to find out. You: (pissed) I don't like your mysterious speaking. You WILL give me straight answers. Mateo: (eyes glow red) That'd make the game too easy, wouldn't it? He leaves for a meeting.
