  1. Hi Luna. Object of the riddle . . . What's the prize? What's the object of the question? What's the win, the trophy? All the same answer. Cheers.
  2. Rah! Rah! Super Bowl! It’s the prize of young and old. Raise a toast to the host, A mournful sip to make the most! Angle, Angle everyday! The injured reserve cannot play. And a royal pain awaits the day A simply question one to say. Vroom, vroom round the rim Race to the plate, forget the sin. The Indiana well-fought win, Raise the trophy, start again!

Final form. Maybe it will help: Flesh on flesh, back to back God’s gift revealed for all Though meant for none, and thieved by one; The greedy dare was called. Demurely did the noble pass Through city to be twin. This teacher wed to greed hath grasped Fair justice in the win. And a pupil held against the bore And punished for a spy, Hath risen from the depths of lore To name the evil eye.

dwilly (and players) your thoughts on twin cities in # 1 are along the correct lines. I found nothing with a google search to give this away so I might as well come out and say, the hamlet of first twins refers to a major city (now, though much smaller some time ago). It was oficially twinned with another European city over 65 years ago. Unfortunately, one reference I found pertaining to the city in question, while penning the riddle, stated that it is considered the world's first twin city. Further research has thrown this into doubt. Regardless, the focus on the "first twins" is a non-starter as even knowing the city would likely NOT lead to solving the riddle.

As with most of these, a new look reveals certain areas that could use some polish. Here's a minor re-write which may help: Flesh on flesh, back to back, God’s gift revealed for all Though meant for none, and a theft by one, As the greedy dare was called. Demurely did the noble pass Through hamlet of first twins, This teacher wed to greed hath grasped Fair justice in the win. And one pupil held against the bore, Punished for the lie, Hath risen from the depths of lore To name the evil eye.

Flesh on flesh, back to back, God’s gift revealed to all Yet meant for none, a theft by one, The greedy dare was called. Noble did the white prize pass Through hamlet of first twins, And the teacher wed to greed hath grasped Fair justice in the win. One pupil held against the bore, And punished for the lie, Hath risen from the depths of lore To name the evil eye.

No, not evil spirits. One thing, not a spirit. This one's been stagnant for awhile so I'll just give it.

Re-write: "A Magnificient "Number" Of Butlers Abode" (note the lack of apostrophe)

Grayven and Tryinto . . . definitely in the ballpark, but "who" is the question, as d3 pointed out. I used that term to distinguish "it" from inanimate objects. THAT is a huge hint. Might need a bit more research. GL

By: Pathfinder Funny-spine, “A Magnificent Amount of Butlers Abode.”

No I'm not, but thanks for the suggestion; that or something similar would definitely make a good riddle.

No, but on the right track
