No Dogg, this isn't a head-slapper. There are a enough key-words and motifs to nail this for those less familiar with my own scholastic pursuits and appetites, but it aint no bowling ball. Thanks for the rate.

Actually the answer does have something to do with that but not how you would suspect. Dig into the first stanza and you might just figure it out. If not, more clues elsewhere. Ka-Boom!!! Oh my! That sounded like Captain Sparrow shooting off one of his . . . : )

My name is nothing but a jest to mark one week beyond His test Almost Like most. My fingers clenched in fisted show, the ring they bring for all to know Save me. Why me? A pall was cast upon this eye, the burden on my shoulders my Worst curse. Few worse. I placed her petals in dirty vase and so too others in fine, bright glass That lied. These died. Then slew the savior loved at first whose love of mine was his one curse To Hell He fell. Yes, love is odd and so am I, but great the vision of monstrous eye Demure, So pure, The heart.

Don’t take me in vain, I’m no church bloke, You call my name it best not be a joke! If you see me hangin’ around the hood You’ll know I’m up to bad, not good. I smoke grass and puff death sticks, But I hate the stoners turning tricks. Can’t stomach kids, but the duckies are fine. Chicks would be mine if I had a good line. Yeah, I’m a liar and a low-life thief, And I look real ill with my rotten teeth. My name’s well known, and it ain’t good, But the kiddies don’t care; that’s understood.

Man, I'm a freak for cryptos but you have so few letters and obnly two matching.

I think I heard this one on a trip to Thebes (I must have answered correctly or I wouldn't be alive to recollect!) I doubt it will last on this forum considering it's almost three thousand years old.

    No sweat! I'm from Mansfield!
  9. Plasmid seals it! Well done!
  10. Really? 500? I hadn't even noticed . . . Thanks! I really couldn't care less about the ratings; they're meaningless and I know their merit. I just don't like the idea of such immature pettiness on such a great website. Cheers
  11. And there it is again . . . another one star on a riddle not even answered yet. That's three of three on my last riddles. Obviously someone has a petty grudge of some sort and / or they just haven't bothered to read the voting rules.
  12. Hey! Interesting with the passport idea. Unfortunately its wrong. You'll get soon. It's a head-slapper.
  13. No dogg and James. I admire your tenacity.
  14. An uplifting cheer preceded the three legged table that toppled away from two legs walking to the cave. A waveform in a very narrow window completes the answer. What color is my son's teddy bear?

Took me a minute. Cute. Good puzzle.
  16. Hey dogg. I'm not sure what clues I could give beyond those in the riddle. There's really enough there. It's a little too soon anyway. When you see the answer you'll likely do a head slap (if you haven't figured it out yourself by then). Keep trying. Cheers
  17. Ouch! There's another one of those one-star ratings. I'd sure appreciate some constructive advice from the rater on how to make them better. Thanks.
  18. Good guess Jeff but incorrect.
  19. Five-walled open house Shut my door and make it four. I know exactly who you are, Where you sleep, friends you keep. A loyal soldier out on tour I take my leaves overseas. So pin the gold upon my breast, Give me orders crossing borders.
  20. I saw that someone had rated this riddle with five stars. Now it's at three. That means someone else gave it a one star rating. That pretty much puts this riddle in the bottom of the bucket for one person. I personally didn't think it was "that" crappy. Oh well. I'd sure appreciate some advice on how to spruce it up or revise it according to the lofty standards of whomever panned it. Thanks. That said, Good job allherdanger!
