  2. A popular conception Is there's no way out To give it a rest Lodge nary a doubt By popular demand If there's no way out Bar keeping the rest Or lodge not a doubt Then when it all goes down There'll be no end in sight Curiously heavy Int'resting in light And never here quite yet Though soon to be true When it's written in ink A sign to construe For its no picnic Always these in tow So find those relations You favor; you know?

WASHY From RIGHT - 1, either the H or T is correct. Not the R from ROLLS - 0, not the I from PIECE - 0, and not the G from ORGAN - 0. From WRITE - 1 and WRING - 1, either W or I is correct. Not the R from ORGAN - 0 and since one of H or T is the fourth or fifth, TE nor NG can be correct; otherwise, one of WRITE or WRING would have to score more than 1. So if one of W or I is first or third and one of H or T is fourth or fifth; if WASHY - 0, then I must be the third and T must be the last.
  11. yes, yes, and yes. down to the last one.
  12. all the above are spot on. thought i had made these more difficult then the last ones. better obscured the negating indicator/made it more ambiguous vs the other two words, etc. obviously hasn't tripped y'all up too much ...yet. you guys have already nailed several of what i thought would be the tougher ones. nicely done.

  15. ahh, the numbers in parenthesis represent the would be double letter scores in the game of Scrabble ©. meant as possible clues to winnow out potential letters. think it may have inadvertantly misled anyone familiar with typical cryptic clues (you there, fabpig?) EDIT: right on phil1882, thanks
