no problem, not your fault, hope it helps out!
  2. plainglazed

you have used "in" twice. Not up. And as for the second spoiler, already said I got your logic... I had written this in previous post so it should give no unfair advantage KISS
  3. plainglazed

think i follow your logic but not where my solution lies. in fact, think mine is less complicated. sorry for the delay in responding. will now be here for a while so please take another swing...

WOW John B. -- Just went back as things got a little hairy this afternoon and wanted to make sure I did not miss anything. Did miss this entirely logical reasoning describing the entire puzzle and it fits. How about that. Destroyed any notion that there is a singular definitive answer to these. But let's continue anyway?
  5. plainglazed

Have to get home. Will make a return shortly and will be thinking on the way home of a clue that would not serve you the answer on a platter. Feel free to share your work. Seems like there is more activity when I'm away anyway.

And still off on the X
  7. plainglazed

getting warmer? Oh man, you could make a vicious puzzle with that one. A volley of ideas are already multiplying in my head.
  8. plainglazed

Do like this one John B. Will have to remember it for another day.
  9. plainglazed

OK, looks like am caught up. Let the rally continue. If I missed anyone, let me know. Thanks.
  10. plainglazed

Nope and no to your logic. Not being curt, just trying to get thru the ones am behind on...
  11. plainglazed

Am back--Sorry, got to keep my job. Not noise.
  12. plainglazed

no to both but, again, good thinking.
  13. plainglazed

1:"not this time" 2:the letters will read left to right as presented unless there is a descriptor that directs otherwise. Excelent question.
  14. plainglazed

Nothing wrong with your logic. I'd say you're understanding is excellent.
  15. plainglazed

Sorry I missed your post. I type too slowly.
  16. plainglazed

Please play along. I think/hope this one will start to reveal itself. I'll be answering each correct letter at a time. It's alot easier, of course, to work backwards from the answer.
  17. plainglazed

Part of your first line is relevent.
  18. plainglazed

The riddle/word puzzle is contained entirely in the one line in bold. This one line represents a phrase not unfamiliar. Each word or two (generally speaking) of the puzzle corresponds to a letter or two (generally speaking) spelling out the answer. Other descriptors can be thrown in refering to the relation of individual letters. Also, will grade work as we go along.
