Question

Some of the following are repeats, but as they are all from the same page of the book I'm currently reading, I want to keep them together:

1.

The beginning of eternity,

The end of time and space,

The beginning of every end,

And the end of every place.

  Reveal hidden contents

It's in front of you right now.

2.

I never was, am always to be,

None ever saw me, nor ever will,

And yet I am the confidence of all

Who live and breathe on this terrestrial ball.

  Reveal hidden contents

It never comes.

3.

Runs over fields and woods all day,

Under the bed at night sits not alone,

With long tongue hanging out,

A-waiting for a bone.

  Reveal hidden contents

It's something very close to you.

4.

At night they come

Without being fetched,

And by day they are lost

Without being stolen.

  Reveal hidden contents

They belong to the night.

5.

Fatherless and motherless,

Born without skin,

Spoke when it came into the world,

And never spoke again.

  Reveal hidden contents

If you had no nose, you'd never know this one.

6.

What gets wet when drying?

  Reveal hidden contents

It's a towel. We're not even going to mess with this one.

7.

There was a green house.

Inside the green house there was a white house.

Inside the white house there was a red house.

Inside the red house there were lots of black babies.

  Reveal hidden contents

A fruit.

i believe bonanova's answer to #4 (stars) is better than dreams: you can daydream about your dreams

Actually, you can see stars during a full solar eclipse as well as at night. Also, you can't remember all your dreams after you wake up...

I once read you can see stars during the day too if you are at the bottom of a well. Won't test that theory, don't like the confinement probability.
