Hello folks! These are 12 more cryptic clues. Like the others, there are two parts to each of these that point toward the same answer. Together the 12 answers have a theme.

1. Help make out beverage. (3)

2. Drive first two operations in Fall. (4)

3. Promise 10 tetralitre limit. (6)

4. Uncool folks in village greens. (7)

5. It's masculine counterpart with commercial leader. (4)

6. Targeted every other redwood. (4)

7. Wizz left shed. (4)

8. Had sawed German ramp. (5)

9. Southern pest makes bad golf swing. (5)

10. Toss no good or average generic bum topping. (8)

11. Bang in a season. (6)

12. Most like the last letter in soap. (4)

Note: "make out" is a clue to hear implying a homonym.

EDIT: OH. Just saw TL's post for 4. The only things that I could think of that mean "uncool" were "lame" and "square," but it never once occurred to me that square might be the answer.

Maybe I think too hard on these...

No, to those, but you are right that there is a tendency to over think these.

Zest! most = est, last letter = z, (soap = Zest)
