Hardly belligerent, by any means But just one step away from fighting mean - violet is one letter away from violent It's a thing that can be seen But not in it's extreme - ultraviolet outside of visible light spectrum (Whose birthplace is the sun With effects far from fun) - still, ultraviolet Nature's tooth and claw is on the other side Mirroring the answer over which I preside - red is on the other side of the spectrum If you still need a clue, here's what I'll do: I'll give you two-combining's up to you A glass, a container - vial To permit, or enable - let, vial + let = violet That's all I have to say so Good luck with this riddle Was it a good riddle? Yes indeed, a really good riddle. Especially liked the "one step away from" clue (was the shape of the "n" being similar to a step intentional?) and of course I liked the charade (combining) as you might expect.
