Question

This is something that JKyle1980 (I'm still using the third person to get JKyle1980's name back for JKyle1980) came up with. See if you can come up with the next 5 numbers in the pattern:

0, 2, -1, 4, -3, 8, -5, 12, -7, 16, -13, 18, -19....

Hah! I'm not posting the answer yet.

I got this with the first thing I tried.

first, lets list off prime numbers...

2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,43,47,53,59,61,67,71,73,79,83,89,97

Now negate every other one....

2,-3,5,-7,11,-13,17,-19,23,-29,31,-37,41,-43,47,-53,59,-61,67,-71,73,-79,83,-89,97

Now, starting with zero, add cumulatively...

0, 2, -1, 4, -3, 8, -5, 12, -7, 16, -13, 18, -19, 22, -21, 26, -27, 32, -29, 38, -33, ....

Tada...
