See if you can come up with the next 5 numbers in the pattern: 0, 2, -1, 4, -3, 8, -5, 12, -7, 16, -13, 18, -19.... Hah! I'm not posting the answer yet. 0 EventHorizon Posted January 23, 2008 Report Share Posted January 23, 2008 I got this with the first thing I tried. first, lets list off prime numbers... 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,43,47,53,59,61,67,71,73,79,83,89,97 Now negate every other one.... 2,-3,5,-7,11,-13,17,-19,23,-29,31,-37,41,-43,47,-53,59,-61,67,-71,73,-79,83,-89,97 Now, starting with zero, add cumulatively... 0, 2, -1, 4, -3, 8, -5, 12, -7, 16, -13, 18, -19, 22, -21, 26, -27, 32, -29, 38, -33, ....
