0 Guest
Christopher Columbus!! Made four voyages, his name is known by many as the best mariner ever known, ships sail over oceans and into streams, and ship masts tower over tree tops and in between.Oh yeah, and the sails drank up the open air from the icy cup of sky. 0 Shakeepuddn
Wow! Some wild answers to be sure! The clouds direction. As always, try keyword analysis. The compass direction may point to something fruitful. I recommend drawing the four points N,S,E,W on a piece of paper and THEN revisiting the first line. 0 Guest
Four amid the bending canes, handles to the west, This line makes me think of sunflowers as they follow the Sun. Handles to the west might refer to sometime between afternoon and sunset?

0 Guest
Edit: Four amid the bending canes, handles to the west, The name recalls a giant, to some considered best. Four mouths oh so thirsty, see them open wide Drinking in the open air from icy cup of sky. Leaping over water yet slipping in the streams, Bars above the treetops and all points in between. As far fetched as it may sound, I still think CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS could work. Let me explain verse by verse. Four amid the bending canes, handles to the west, Admiral Columbus lead four voyages west in his lifetime. The name recalls a giant, to some considered best. This refering to Christopher Columbus, who was one of the best mariners of the time. Four mouths oh so thirsty, see them open wide At age fifty-one, Columbus was old, sick, and no longer welcome in his old home base of Hispaniola. On his fourth and final voyage, FOUR SHIPS under the command of Admiral Columbus sailed West THIRSTY to find the Strait of Malacca. Drinking in the open air from icy cup of sky. The ships sails drink in the open air... Leaping over water yet slipping in the streams, Leaping over oceans and slipping into river streams. Bars above the treetops and all points in between. The sail masts barring above the treetops and all points in between. IT WORKS,....... RIGHT?? Edited March 20, 2009 by tydog
