0 CaptainEd
Oops, sorry Pickett. You did nail #4 way up front! The OneWhoDoesNotExist has explained it well. OK Folks, the Captain's Shack is now closed for breakfast, will reopen later. For recap, the answers and explanations are: Danish Flaky as I am, I belong at a modern table, surrounding my sweetheart (A Danish is indeed flaky, it belongs at a "Danish modern" table, and it surrounds a sweet center (or "heart"), though, as PetRock says, it can sometimes be merely cheesy. Oatmeal Ate loam? Scrambling improves me. Anagram of "Ate Loam". As it happens, an extra "F" fell off the shelf into someone's blender, yielding "MEATLOAF", which sounds like a hearty breakfast to me... *Benedict Pope or a poacher? 'Tween England and Holland? Good answer (no beggin'): Well said. There was a Pope Benedict, you poach an egg, you put it between an English muffin and a Hollandaise sauce, and you include bacon (not "beggin'"). The name "Benedict" = "bene" (well) and "dict" = (said) *Fruit Juice Crush my first to get my second; they shared a middle anyway. As NoOne said, you crush fruit to make juice, and both words contain "UI".
