Now we've got to know the rules of repeating again...

Does CaptainEd's spreadsheet give the same result as you've given?

If word is >>dead<<

and the guesses >>dots<< and >>alas<<

they would give:

dots: x ('x' has highest prio, and multiple letters in answer does not give an extra 'o')

alas: x ('x' has highest prio, and multiple letters in guess does not give an extra 'o')

Right?

That is true. I am using Cap'nEd's spreadsheet. And I've recalculated them on my own when voltage requested.

I'm not sure if proper nouns are allowed, but this word is very common - not a person/place's name. So to make up for it;

Same here, as I am French.

I am wondering what proper noun this can be, if it is neither a place, nor a person. An event, or a day (like Saturday)?
