Some here are aware of my penchant for using broad metaphor and colorful motifs that might nonetheless lead one away from the actual answer. I do it mostly for style and just a tad out of tongue-in-cheekiness. However, in all I also incorporate enough clues that if deciphered and / or considered together they would most definately lead to the answer. Such is the case with this one. Suggestion: don't sieze solely on the Arthurian slant. It's but a minor relation only understood by closely researching the individual, who is in fact a well-known historical figure. Good luck. The "wasteland" title is for several reasons, one which might become clear when the answer is known. But mostly because I needed a title and it applies geographically (not to mention I'm huge fan fan of Eliot's work).
