Question

Inspired by Woon but with my own recipe ;)

Sudden death of a famous mathematician has given a lot of headache to the investors that were hoping to benefit from Professor’s brilliant mind. His latest work was nowhere to be found. However his coworkers knew that the Professor spent most of his time in his office so they were convinced that the algorithm that he constructed was there... but where??

The Professor’s office was thoroughly searched but his work was nowhere to be found. They knew that the Professor enjoyed solving and constructing riddles but all off them were a dead end!

Since the Professor was a mathematician the only odd thing in his office was this poster and there was something odd written on it as well!

ANTIINSTITUTIONAL DISESTABLISHMENT

Where did the Professor hide his priceless work?

Did the Professor have any other secrets?

:)

Yep it would have to be the clock. Because he wasn't ANTI the INSTITUTIONAL ESTABLISHMENT he wanted the work to be found. Thought the CLOCK was a WISE place since any APE knows X marks the spot and he didn't want to SHELL out on a safe.

Maybe it's behind the clock because the shell is going clockwise...

Clockwise or counterclockwise makes no difference!

He was left-handed, right?

To be honest didn't think of that at all!

OK more hints

Mathematicians are very precise because they deal with numbers and whatnots! The Professor thought of an ORIGINAL solution that could only lead to ONE possible answer!! No guessing...

And another thing the Professor was old fashioned... he liked using paper and pencil! ;)

The picture and words "snail anatomy" and their formation isn't significant because Andromeda found her cute little snail here: http://www.geocities.com/sseagraves/snailanatomy.htm.

Yes I did! :D

I thought this wasnt related to math!

It's not!

But to construct the riddle paper and pencil had to be used at some point!

Really stretching here

a particular time, Noon in particular??

Yeah... you are strechin' :)

I'll stop obsessing over the positions of the snails on the letters now

I told you from the beginning, wait you weren't here... anywho...

HINT

Did any of you wonder why are the words so long??

:)

just going of your latest hint here....maybe the words are long because it has to do with the long hand of the clock, or the minute-hand?

But...

Didn't you say it didn't have to do with anagrams? Do we have to take out letters?

<(^-^)>

No anagrams no taking letters!

lol, caught myself trying to see if there was an invisible message in the words...

do the amount of letters in antiinstitutional (17) and disestablishment (16) matter?

I don't know what do you mean by invisible, but

yes there is a word inside the word... both of them actually!

It doesn't matter that they are 17 and 16 letters long, but it does matter that they are long and that they are those two words!

And again... no anagrams!

SNAIL

SHELL

APEX

PAPER

PENCIL

TWO LONG WORDS EACH

;)

The snail's shells goes in a spiral. If we write the letters "ANTIINSTITUTIONALDISESTABLISHMENT" in a spiral, going out from A, thus...

S T I...

N A N

I I T

...and so on, the middle line of the puzzle reveals the professor's secret hiding place!

Spoiler for which is...:

E S T A B L

S S T I T I

I N A N U S

D I I T T H

L A N O I M

. . . T N E

He had it stashed on his person the whole time! That's why he walked strangely!

And his other secret was that he was wearing women's underwear.

You need to spiral up both words separately!!!

OMG!!! I had no idea that it can spell something like that

It happens to me all the time... <_<

Hidden words and phrases that I didn't even think of!

I said it's IN THE OFFICE!

I'm spiraling the words...but it isn't making anything...

<(^-^)>

Um... I don't really know how to help you??

First word is an unusual one and the second you should most definitely recognize... well the second one is not really a word

;)

yeah, same here...all i can get out of it is "snail" or "den" and that's about it...

It says BDEN actually = BrainDen! So he was kinda a member of BrainDen! That was his sort of secret! I know it's very anticlimactic!
