0 Guest
Here is a simple way to look at it: Assum they are tied at 3 all with Paige serving. Then Paige wins his serve, breaks Graham, and then wins his serve again to finish the set. So Paige had to be serving first if he was serving at 3 all. The other two breaks had to be split between them in the first six games and the order of service breaks and wins is not important. For my workings... Well I play tennis so it's just something I know game 1 - Paige serves, graham wins game 2 - graham serves, Paige wins game 3 - Paige serves, Paige wins game 4 - graham serves, Paige wins game 5 - Paige serves, Paige wins game 6 - graham serves, Paige wins game 7 - Paige serves, graham wins game 8 - graham serves, graham wins game 9 - Paige serves, Paige wins

Oh ya, show your work in a spoiler. "Who served last?" After 8 games, Paige was up a break, leading 5-3. If she broke Graham to win the match, she would have been up two breaks, so there would have been an even number of broken serves in the set. We are told there were 5 service breaks, she must have served for the match (in game 9), meaning she also served first.
