You are right about the SET and the ODD ONE OUT, but some of the pieces still don't fit

1. Put an end above exceptional luster to produce a phenotype - if you find out what's the synonym for this, you'll know the piece

2. Deuce-ace a deed with calamitous events - Three Act Tragedy

3. Wicked, smaller than flaming ball - Evil Under the Sun

4. Newton as alternative to 1000? - N or M?

5. To let a secret be known in the midst of those who are easily swindled - Cat Among the Pigeons

6. Deceive as an alternative to specific manner on a shindig - translate this in a simpler, widely used syntagma in America

7. Unwilling to speak -o contains data - you are right about the 'dumb' part, but you forgot the -o Y-san! So this one is wrong...

EDIT: Forgot a smiley :P

1. Put an end above exceptional luster to produce a phenotype - if you find out what's the synonym for this, you'll know the piece-yeah, I think this one is Murder on the Orient Express (express genes)

6. Deceive as an alternative to specific manner on a shindig - translate this in a simpler, widely used syntagma in America -it's not "trick or treat?" Halloween Party seems to fit...

7. Unwilling to speak -o contains data - you are right about the 'dumb' part, but you forgot the -o Y-san! So this one is wrong...I have no idea...there's no other title I know of with 'dumb'...may be one I never heard of...

[spoiler=W00t for my Belgian hero :D ]

Good one, Andro. I really love him and that adorable spinster Miss Marple. Undoubtedly two unforgettable characters created by the "Queen of Crime" :D

BTW, I am planning to have a moustache, the Hercule Poirot style and have almost succeeded. :P And then you know where my name come from. :D
