Question

It's pretty straight forward. Decode the message, each letter is consistently-(always) replaced-(maybe) by a different letter in the alphabet.

And don't forget the spoilers!

-This puzzle is what I call a level- 5

Which means that this puzzle is- Various in length. There is a consonant that has been completely removed from the quote below. It is up to you to figure out what that consonant is, and where in the words that consonant is missing. The name of the author has also been removed, and will be revealed once the puzzle is solved.

lol...yeah...but this is level 5...I am not so good at quotes...I didn't even try level 1 ones...btw great puzzles brandon :)

Whew! I made some lucky guesses early that paid off:

A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any other invention in human history, with the possible exception of handguns and tequila.

You weren't far off. A few more minutes and you may have had it also. :)

Yeah, Dd, you were definitely on the right track.

L=N

pretty early and that led me to the two "ion"s. I worked out "invention" so I knew the "t" was missing and it was just fil in the blanks from there. tequila was the real stumper! (e_uila)
