One more time(unfortunately, probably the last )! All capital letters are variables. What fills in the question mark to make the last equation correct? Note: The rule for multiplication in the previous Smiley Math is not the one used here. It uses a more logical pattern this time, as does division. 0 Guest
Yeah, it's not quite as hard as last time, but I thought I'd post it for a little fun. I probably can't make another though, I'm running out of operations that work well.
0 unreality
how about exponents? lol ^ car = lcoalr (mix the letters) percentages? lol % car = cal (take the lowest-alphabetical letter from the comparison) pound/number symbol? lol # car = 3 (average number of letters in the words) ampersand ph34r & phil = ph (unison characters) <- though that may be the * in your Smiley 3 double arrows rags <> rag = s (letters not in common) <- may be your division exclamation pasta ! ski = pasta (whichever has more letters) "at" four @ loud = two (letter spelling of the number of common-shared letters) another example: zap @ zilch = one (not 1, but one) I could think of lots more
0 Guest
Yes, true, there are many more I could do, but they would be hard to figure out, as they aren't really related to what the operation does with numbers. I might make anothe, but not for a little while. I guess the real challenge of these now is figuring out what the operations do instead of the answer, as it's obvious once you ge the operations. 0 Guest
how can there be a variable R in the answer if there is no variable R in the hints/equations? Thank you for catching my mistake. The last line should read: D + I + M + E + 2 * H + Q + L + P = ?

0 Guest
bluebrrims ??? I think Last Line should have been : D + I + M + E + M + 2 * H + Q + M + P = ? for "blueberries"blueberries?
0 Guest
blueberries? You got it! Ben Law, troglodyte712 noticed that problem and I asked Martini to fix it. It is correct now. Still not sure if I will make a Smiley Math 4...depends on what operations I come up with. Oh well. Smiley Math 4, coming to a forum near you...or not. 0 Guest
bluebrrims ??? I think Last Line should have been : D + I + M + E + M + 2 * H + Q + M + P = ? for "blueberries" The answer I got from the problem was "bluebrrims" also, but I knew that wasn't it so I played around with it for a little bit before I thought of blueberries. 0 Guest
Yeah, I think I made a mistake with the last line. The answer is blueberries. The last line should read: D + I + M + E + M + 2 * H + Q + M + P = ? Sorry about the mistake guys, thanks for catching it.
