Question

Hopefully this will do better then my last puzzle...

Fill in the blanks in this number pattern:

1920, 2012, 15, 186, 2015, 1818, 523, 115, 2019, 814, 515, 220, 58, 1___, 20___, 12___, 5___, 19___, 2___, 1___, 20___

Interesting hint...]This is a finite sequence.

Also explain how you got your answer.

Good luck! :)

If you go on forever could you use any and every number?

Could you make your question clearer? I think you mean if the number sequnce goes on every digit will be used? Well, no. This is a finite sequence, it doesn't go on forever.

Oops, I misread and thought it said infinite, not finite...

If it' finite then there's a reason for the numbers, not just following a number pattern, hmm

I am thinking we should split the numbers...

19 20, 20 12, 1 5, 18 6, 20 15, 18 18, 5 23, 1 15, 20 19, 8 14, 5 15, 2 20, 5 8, 1___, 20___, 12___, 5___, 19___, 2___, 1___, 20___

And something to do with a "clock"? or a mapping....

It is the schedule for the Sunday service/public holidays of the number 14 bus

should be a sequence of 24

Only six replies (not including mine) in 10 hours? Must be a hard one...

Columns. Yep, that's all I am giving you. You have to find the meaning on your own.

military times.

15 might be 15:00

186 can't be 18:60 - that would be 19:00

and 220 doesn't make sense with a single trailing 0.

So I don't think military times work.

You are right! Well, right about the part where they don't work. ;)

It must be a pretty slow day I've only gotten like 7 replies in about 24 hours. :(

adding and subtracting?

If I guess at the numbers, I won't have an explanation of how I arrived at an answer. Sequences are very difficult for me but ok. 19,8,7,4,21,3,2?

Hopefully this will do better then my last puzzle...

Sorry, no. Is this too hard? :(
