"The root of many a tune And for howling at the moon" --blues And the whole arches bit could refer to the wind-eroded arches--"my associate" being the wind

0 itachi-san
Any way I rate it 4/5 edit = By the way - why do people rate riddles before they know the answer - construction/composition was 1st class!... of any dags called blue does anyone still do that, perhaps in the US only- Old Yella, twas a great film - beats the lassie rubbish. 101 dalmations was a great cartoon Popular dogs name used to be REX! lol, I knew this one was a bit different in that the answer is a spoken word, not a written one, but I didn't think it would be that poorly received oh well. About the dog, LIS: I've personally seen many dogs. both real and in story, named Blue. I justified it by the kids tv show Blue's Clues about a dog named Blue, maybe that's just U S though. It's tough to always be worldly in these. About the rest of the riddle: I am one of many - blue is one of many colors You must pass to get to Oz - colors of the rainbow And a way to have made - blew glass - notice the past tense when I am referring to 'blew' A small classy glass vase Without me - this part is lofty I admit, but that's why I hinted with 'wordy 30' - those are usually clues No arches would be - this is all about how the wind blew whether delicate - Delicate Arch in Utah - possibly the most famous land arch made by wind or near the sea unless of course they were made by force - arches can be made by tidal force by the sea as well Other than my associate - blew is often associated with wind and air moving As it's source If you've never done me - blew Then you haven't whistled - blew air Popped bubbles in gum - blew bubbles Or destroyed with missiles - blew up I am a common dog's name - Blue A turncoat in wolf's rain - Blue (someone got this! yay!) The root of many a tune - blue notes And for howling at the moon - feeling blue Any constructive criticism on this one? I didn't think it was that bad... 0 Guest
I got it from the 2 clues - too wordy, too long, too much info, too easy, but unfortunately i saw it too late !!! Why name a dog blue unless your from Oz?
Question
itachi-san
I am one of many
You must pass to get to Oz
And a way to have made
A small classy glass vase
Without me
No arches would be
whether delicate
or near the sea
unless of course
they were made by force
Other than my associate
As it's source
If you've never done me
Then you haven't whistled
Popped bubbles in gum
Or destroyed with missiles
I am a common dog's name
A turncoat in wolf's rain
The root of many a tune
And for howling at the moon
