0 Guest
sick I've been playing piano and guitar, both for only 5 months I'm not great at piano, because I haven't put much effort into it like you, I like guitar more I started with acoustic too, and got an electric about a month ago. so you have any youtube videos of yourself playing one of them? 0 Guest
I play piano, but I haven't been patient enough to learn to sight read music, which puts a damper on how much I can do. Mostly I just play by ear for fun and compose stuff. I'd really like to get into doing more complicated compositions with lots of tracks, but again, I've been too lazy. It's on the agenda. 0 akaslickster
I tried guitar 27 years ago and gave up quickly. I was not getting it. Maybe some day I will try piano or keyboard. It should be easier. Edited May 23, 2008 by akaslickster

0 Brandonb
I played a wide variety of concert and marching percussion instruments for about 7-8 years. It's surprising how many different techniques are used rather than just banging on stuff. The best part was when I played with a national (U.S.) marching band in the Millennium (New year's 2000) parade in Paris. We all thought we were gonna be stuck in France because of Y2K . Surprisingly, after so many years of playing I never did learn how to read musical notes, only rhythms.
0 Guest
Yeah, sheet music can be sort of hard I've learned it for piano and guitar but I can't sight read for either god, guitar is difficult to sight read
0 onetruth
I really can't play anything, though I can can play a little piano by ear. I tried guitar several years ago, but I never could quite pick it up. I'd love to try again, though, with a better instructor.

0 Guest
Well I'm in my school band and I play the baritone. I can read sheet music just fine too... I guess it come naturally. I'm thinking of taking piano classes too. I just love the sound. I also want to learn how to play the awesome piano solo from Guitar vs. Piano 1.2. That song is great. Also, what is your setup (for the electric), and what style of music do you play? When I first started I learned some classics (Iron man was my first elec song) Now I play alot of metallica, megadeth, and maiden. Its fun. My style of music is Rock and Roll, mostly like ac/dc, and KISS, and stuff like that my favorite amp settings are these treble: 5 bass: 5 normal: 5 distortion: 3 Tone (on the guitar): both knobs at around 7-8ish I know Iron man too, that's a fun song, though I don't really like the scales style of the first solo
0 akaslickster
Forgot to add that when I used to sing karaoke I did use the tambourine once or twice but, that is kind of easy. I sang many different songs and many artists but them days had past.. I moved from the city I was in. 0 Guest
i'm going to be bragging a lot in this post. just as a warning. my talent and tests: i play the piano, level 10, advanced stage, and my talent has brought me everywhere. i've played in the kimmel center just recently from winning an international piano competition at 2nd place, and i've recently gotten a perfect score in my national graded test for the 3rd year in a row. i have been at the state graded tests for 4 years and this is my 5th and final year because i'm taking the final level of the test this october. i'm also going to the royal school exams this november for the first time. but still no laptop. my awards: - too many certificates i can count, but about 20 major certificates - one diploma so far, but i'm going to get a second diploma from the state tests - 3 pure gold pins from my national tests - 3 pure gold medals from my state tests (i just barely made it one time) - a scholarship i will get when i pass my royal school test - a pure silver medal for my international competition and still no laptop. yay! bragging!
