Both Zeus and Hera are Rhea's children. And they got married because incest was highly regarded back in the day.
0 Guest
Both Zeus and Hera are Rhea's children. And they got married because incest was highly regarded back in the day. Hestia (greek goddess of the home), Hera (greek goddess of marriage and the queen of gods) Demeter (greek goddess of agriculture) Hades (greek god of the underworld) Poseidon (greek god of the sea) and Zeus (the king of all greek gods) are all children of Rhea. Hestia swore to be a virgin, and Demeter... I am honestly not sure. Hera had to marry Zeus because they needed more gods to rule. Hades married Peresephone, the daughter of Demeter, and Poseidon didn't get married. So, there it is. The family tree!
