Question

Spoke to daughter on the phone who is in Tokyo.

She had been out with friends for a meal.

She tried Octopus for the first time, and jellyfish.

Now I'm thinking, is jellyfish main course or desert?

Normally, with that kind of food, deserts and snacks are prepared in some way. (I've had plenty of sushi, but never jellyfish). I guess ask how the Jellyfish was prepared, if it was raw and on rice or something, then you know it was main course. But if it was in a dehydrated jerky-type form, like squid often is-YUM! (seriously, it's great), then it was probably a dessert or snack food.

And no, you won't sound dumb, just ask her what she thought about it when she saw it.
