What is better - eternal bliss or a simple bread?

Recommended Posts

it depends on how the word "nothing" is defined

if "nothing" is defined as an object/ a thing, this statement is correct

if "nothing" is defined as a pronoun, this statement is incorrect, because you cannot compare an object/ a thing with a pronoun

(it's the same as that you cannot compare the number 17 with the weather today)

The word 'nothing' has two different meanings: the zero value, or no value at all. This paradox arises from confusing those two things. In symbols: (where > means "is better than")

¬((¬∃x(x > eternal-bliss) ∧ bread > 0) -> bread > eternal-bliss)

Isnt this just the way u phrase the question. You do not state that simple bread is better then nothing, the right way to say it is simple bread is better then HAVING nothing.

Having nothing and nothing itself cannot be compared as they are used differently.

It says "What is better than eternal bliss? Nothing." it states that 'Nothing' is better than eternal bliss. Therefore, if bread is better than nothing, which is better than eternal bliss, bread is better than eternal bliss. Get that?
