Question

There is a Fork in the road and you need to get to the last gas station. There is a gas station on the left 70 miles from where you are, and one at the right 80 miles and is next to a holiday inn. You have enough fuel for 30 miles. Which way do you go?

He turns around and goes the way he came -- to the last gas station he passed.

You go nowhere. Instead, use a cell phone and call for roadside assistance from a place such as AAA and explain you're low on gas and can't make it to the next station. Then simply wait for help to arrive

Your original post leaves out two important details in order for the answer Karen gave to work. 1. That the motorist is leaving a gas station or 2. that the last gas station he passed was 30 miles or less behind him. I can say that withot a definite amount the station was 150 miles behind him. I admit my answer was facetious, but that is why I used it.

Turn around, "to get to the last gas station"
