Choose any number, and after a while, the sequence will always be 4. Here are a few examples.

5,4,4,4,4,4

6,3,5,4,4,4,4

100,7,5,4,4,4,4

You need to phrase it better, If 1 is 3 and 3 is 4 and 4 is eternal then what is 23423429398220912124 ( I dare some one to do that one)

Well, like it says, I've heard this before but...

If you take a number, and write it out, you count how many letters are in that number and it becomes the number for the next term in the sequence.

Errr... it works better with examples, so here.

1=one

one has 3 letters, so the next term is 3.

2=two

two has 3 letters, so the next term is 3.

3=three

three has 5 letters, so the next term is 5.

4=four

four has 4 letters, so the next term is 4.

5=five

five has 4 letters, so the next term is 4.

6=six

six has 3 letters, so the next term is 3.

See what I mean?

if the sequence goes on for infinity, then how can it end at 4?

No matter how big the number is, spelling it out and using the number of letter for the next number will eventually lead you to a number with four letters. Four has 4 letters, so it will always, eventually, repeat at 4.

series1: 5-->five (four letters) so
4--> four (four letters) so
4-->....go on
Series3: 100-->hundred (7 letters) so
7--> seven (5 letters) so
5--> five (4 letters).....

This is a great sequence abhisk. I really enjoyed it ;)

EDIT: I'd post something more substantial, but everyone has already so eloquently explained it B))
