Guest
A man was found murdered one Sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police. The police questioned the wife and staff and was given these alibis: The Wife said she was in bed reading a book. The Cook claimed she cooking breakfast. The Gardener claimed he was planting seeds. The Maid claimed she was getting the mail. The Butler claimed he polishing the silver. The police instantly arrested the murdered. Who did it and how did they know? 0 grey cells
Brhan is right . But I think without the knowledge of location of the victim's body one cannot arrive at a conclusive answer.

0 Guest
Easy- there is no mail on Sundays, so the Maid is lying (unless she forgot to get it on Saturday). Then again, maybe she was actually just having an affair with the butler. Lying is not proof she actually committed the murder. Why did they arrest the murdered? Why arrest the dead? 0 itachi-san
the maid was getting her e-mail so there's no way she could have done it =) Edited March 27, 2008 by itachi-san
0 Guest
Obviously, they all got together and did it in between their various jobs. Or they all lied. No wait, it's easier. The only way the police would have known is if it was one of the police themselves. So two policeman arrested a third and then had breakfast while reading a book and going through the mail. 0 Guest
i do love the wild cards, i suppose the location could've been helpful but figured it would be the one caught out lying

0 Guest
I WOULD HAVE SAID THE WIFE DID IT BECAUSE IT SAID THE IT WAS SUNDAY MORNING SO OBVIOUSLY IF THE WIFE IS IN BED THE HUSBAND IS STILL IN BED SO SHE COULD HAVE MURDERED HIM THEN WAITED A FEW MINUTES TO CALL THE POLICE. THIS WAS HARD.
