0 Guest Posted September 23, 2011 Report Share Posted September 23, 2011 Shakeepuddn and Guppy have got it! fluttering heart and curning stomach refer to the pea of the whistle lips to mine = lips on whistle cry = whistle's noise I call and yet you run away - refers to either a whistle blow starting a race or someone running from a police officer I call to hope you'll halt and stay - a police officer using a whistle to make someone stop close to heart / entwined - the whistle is worn on a string or twine and hangs near the heart.
