Guest
Shelly and Storme are teenagers. They are also sisters, but they are not twins. Shelly is older than Storme. Both of their ages were composite numbers last year. This year their ages are both prime numbers. Over the next three years, both of their ages will remain composite numbers. What is the sum of the ages of the two sisters? Note: a composite number means that a whole number that has factors in addition to 1 and itself. a prime number means that a whole number that has factors of 1 and itself. 0 Guest
You are very correct, Darth Legion. Thanks for participating. I neglected to stress the term "teenagers", but you saw right through it.
0 Guest
Only other prime is 17, but only one composite age (18) before the next prime (19). 32 is it!

0 bonanova
26 and 38? it's possible for two siblings to be the same age and not twins. Good point. "Older than" would need clarification beyond the OP to rule this answer out. In that sense, it's next to impossible for even twins to be the same age. Ouch!
