We have recently had lots of new interest in Mafia and with that comes issue with regards to posting day votes. Please use this thread as practice if you don't want to botch your first vote in-game .
Whenever casting a vote, you should quote the most recent roster post. The reason for quoting is that you will preserve color that the host may have used in any actions (death, traps, etc.) as well as the previous votes before you.
If you are voting for a player who currently has no votes, you can choose any color you want as long as it isn't already in use. typically BLUE, GREEN, and RED are used by the host when describing if someone was killed by a goodie, baddie, or indie and should be avoided when voting. Also try to use colors that contrast each other instead of varying shades of one color. In addition GREY is reserved for dead people and colors such as dark blue can be hard to constrast against black.
If you are voting for someone who has already recieved votes, you will want to use the same color so that each person's votes are all one color. If this is the case simply copy and paste the vote to place it after your own name.
lastly be sure to remove the quote tags at the top and bottom of the post (as well as any extra text the previous poster had that wasn't part of the roster).
PLEASE ask any questions here that you have about the voting process.
