Two men make a bet that if he can jump off a 50 floor building he will give him $600. The man does this and walks away with the $600. How is this done?

So much ambiguity with "he" and "him" and "this"...

Assuming the ambiguity is not intended to conceal the answer and the bet is made between person A and person B, so that if A jumps off the building B will pay A $600 then my answer is A jumps from the 50-story building onto the roof of the 49-story building standing right next to it.

1. "50 floor" < > "50 story" He jumps off the roof of a single story flooring store, that has 50 different floors on display.

2. Parachute slows his descent

3. He is a stunt man and lands in a big pile of pillows

Just b/c it's a 50 floor building doesn't mean that he jumped from the 50th floor...

Answer: He just jumped off the first of the front steps

Edit: Crap, sparky beat me to it

...jumping off the 50 floor building is not the same as jumping off the fiftieth floor of the building, thus the bet could be won by jumping of the 1st step of the 50 floor building, couldn't it?

The riddle does not say anything about the man jumping hass to jump from the 50th floor, so it stands to reason that the jumper was successful if he jumped from the entranceway of the building.
